Questions..
Hey all just came back to work and university which has been helping me distract myself. Thank you all for the kind messages. Now I have a question. My mom was told she had multifocal invasive breast cancer, and they also told us it was a rare type. Oncologist says it is kind of random how she was checked

Reconstruction Expanders
In 10 days scheduled to have a mastectomy, lymph node, and expander put in. Is the expander very painful- have heard mixed things? I am very thin and small-breasted and putting a foreign object w/ a piece of metal under my chest muscle sounds horrible :( Thanks for any feedback

How to Emotionally Prepare for Surgery
A few years ago, a friend preparing for her double mastectomy asked me, “𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆?” This is a great question. Here are some things that helped me: 1. Take photos. You could schedule a photo shoot or have someone close to you take

Surgery with an auto immune disorder
Good morning all Some issues have come to light in my family recently which mean I may be eligible for a BRCA ( it’s the gene mutation which increases the risk of breast cancer amongst others) test. It seems to me that the worst possible outcome would be to agree to the test, be tested positive but then

Will the tight feeling ever get better?
Hi this is my first time posting.. I had a mastectomy last February.. two rounds of chemo before and 30 rounds of radiation after. My tumor was large and had attached to my arm muscle..My chest is dented and feels like a drum head stretched to tight.. I’m wondering if this feeling will ever go away..

Hard epididymis
I'm 43 years old and had
vasectomy
3 years ago. I have had aching testicles intermittently since then and I do suspect a varicocele on the right side as I can feel a large collection of tubes/veins.

To explain, I was slated to have my mastectomy on my left breast where the tumor is located. Just

Can a vasectomy fail?
He said the rate of
vasectomy
failures is quite small. But that could happen to anyone without rhyme or reason. So how safe am I to have sex without using a condom? Please share your own experiences or any known cases. Thank you.
