Anyone have kidney disease and cannot have contrast?
Husband had kidney function problem and not supposed to have contrast. CC did not listen and did it anyway on a 3 hr. MRI. Now, all his kidney functions on labs are bad, out of range, as well as high calcium and potassium levels. They still insist on contrast with scans but I said no. Anyone have

Breast implant illness and lung/breathing problems
Hello, I am new here. I am so glad I stumbled onto this group! About 5 years ago I noticed I was short of breathe going up stairs and at the same time my stomach would bloat to make me look about 6 months pregnant. It was like the air that was supposed to go into my lungs was going to my stomach. Then

Drug Combinations
Have been taking Diltiazem and flecainide for many years which seems to have kept AF under control. However after recent bad experience with Losartan for BP I have been prescribed Amlodipine. Does anyone out there have experience of two Calcium Blockers?

Newly Diagnosed and wondering about Treatments
Hi - I had a Dxa scan score of -2.6 In my spine, 2.4 in my hips. Calcium, VitD, B12 all good and at the higher end of the range. My GP recommends weekly tablet of Bisophosonates. The risks were explained and I have agreed to try see if I can tolerate them. I would be grateful for any experience of

Would Adding 10,000 IU a day of D3 would be a good thing to complement my Niacin 250 mg a day? Maybe NOT
Sometimes I'm Stupid. This is a re-write of my post extolling the virtues of vitamin D3 based on misreading a study and thinking down was up and left was right. I would just delete it but some people have seen it and I want the correction to be here. This is the trial from 2016 that had me excited:

Where can I get another CAC test ?
I had a CAC test three years ago that returned a value of 1829. I then had a triple bypass. I have been following a recommended regime and now want to know what my calcium score is. Where can I get another CAC test? I was told that it cannot be done. Is this correct ?

No more Calcium supplements
Having done quite a bit of research on the effectiveness of calcium supplements in improving bone health, I discovered that the thinking around this is changing. The John Hopkins medical Centre and ROS both advise that calcium is always better absorbed from natural food sources rather than supplements

Diazepam (Valium) ARE YOU ADDICTED or having trouble coming off them? If so then read on?
Your body after only a few constant weeks of taking regular medication becomes accustomed to the
Valium
very easily and with a daily regular dosage intake you can quite easily become involuntarily addicted without even knowing it.
