Blood clots and urticarial vasculitis syndrome
Hello everyone. I hope you are all feeling as well as can be. I wondered if anyone could tell me whether they have suffered blood clotting as part of lupus/ urticarial vasculitis syndrome ( or any other forms of vasculitis actually, as I'm not convinced that I only have the one type affecting small blood

Can Prednisolone Cause Extreme Fatigue?
I am awaiting a biopsy for confirmation of a diagnosis of GCA and started 60mg Prednisolone daily 5 days ago. I take them straight after breakfast but am getting absolutely crushing fatigue around lunchtime and the first half of the aftenoon. This is worse than the fatigue I was experiencing before starting

Ablation 8 weeks on
So I hope it is not too self centred/boring to give an 8 weeks on update on my ablation Quick recap 10 July first ever ablation two weeks NSR and very gentle on myself, then big disappointment as 2 solid weeks of fast afib resulted in needing cardio inversion and lots (8,75mg) of Bisoprolol daily.

Should I stop taking risedronate?
I have been taking this since January. My T score is -2.9 and the chance of a major spinal fracture over the next 10 years is14 per cent. I am -2.4 in the hip. I have never had a fracture. I try to exercise as much as possible - these days it's mainly walking. My calcium levels are fine and I have been

Calcium
Hi all. Not wanting to complain as some of you seem to be suffering so much more than me. I was put on steroids 3 years ago during a flare . Already on azathioprine and hydroxy. One month originally then off. Flared again next summer so back on. Got down to 5mg now on 2mg . Try 1mg but feel feverish

Is ADCAL dangerous?
My GP put me on ADCAL when he diagnosed PMR and started Prednisolone. At my first telephone consultatioon with a rheumy (I sacked him yesterday!) he said to come off it as it is dangerous. I am not on any calcium medication. Anyone confirm this or make any comment? Thanks.

Criteria for choosing non-emergency CABG?
My dad is scheduled for an angioplasty next week. His flow test and scans have revealed at least three significant blockages (over 70%) one of which is in his LAD. The doctors are planning to insert stents, but said the cath will give them a better sense of the blockages and if CABG is the better option

THE PROOF IS IN VITAMIN D BEATS COVID - WHY THEN IS IT ALL ABOUT A VACCINE
Apologies for the length of this post but the information I share below comes from Chris Kesser. He says "The first randomized controlled trial on vitamin D and COVID-19 has been published. The results are extraordinary. In short, taking vitamin D virtually eliminated the risk of ICU admission—and

Bio identical progesterone for endo treatment and cell-active DIM with calcium D-glucarate (food supplement) to get rid of excess estrogen??
Hi, I've had a horrible 2.5 years trying various contraception pills, mirena and vaginal ring to control my endo pain and periods but I've had very bad mood swings + cervix bleeding from too much estrogen due to taking the pill. I don't want to take any more contraception pills. I did some research

Anybody tried Alivecor heart monitor ?
I suffer from night time palpitations which I have had for over 4 years now. I have has every test under the sun including heart scans, ecg's, angiogram and calcium scoring and much more. The general opinion from my consultant is that I have benign PVC'S but 3 different halter monitors have proved inconclusive

My friend is 56. Already gone thru Chemo (docetaxal), provenge, zytiga and xandi. MO wants him to start chemo which he doesnt want to do (again) and wants to know thoughts from others. Success (O.S) statistics with Radium 223? Running out of options. His PSA is rising but still low at .7 and imaging
