Is mineral water good or bad?
Unlike a lot of you who are petite, I'm medium frame and slightly overweight. When I was diagnosed with op, I started going overboard on things like almonds and cheese. I now realize I've gained 10 pounds that might cause other health issues if I don't stop it I take a few supplements, (D3 and K2 MK7

Calcium Supplements Edited with more Info
Jim's Calcium level has been around 10 since Dec 2020. He had his first Lupron shot Jan 2021. Abiraterone started Mar 2021. He has been on 1000mg of Oyster Shell Calcium and when I recently reviewed her instructions from 2020 I realized she had wanted him to take 650mg calcium citrate or carbonate

Blood test for calcium
I was reading the 'Supplement timing' post which appeared in my daily e-mail this morning and one of the replies from greygoose raised a good point. In the past I was mildly low with my calcium and since going through a surgical menopause in October 2021 and having a DEXA scan which showed mild osteopenia

Hi everyone, This is my second post. My first post, my husband had been leaking protein and was told it would go away. A year later, he still has it. Now he's being referred to a Nephrologist for the first time. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on what to ask? He's not diabetic and his blood

CKD Stage 2 & high calcium?
Is anybody at stage 2 CKD and have high calcium levels? I just discovered the CKD on my own a few weeks ago, this was after having a high calcium level on my last 2 blood tests. All my old primary doctor told me to do about the high calcium was to drink more water, see you next year. I recently switched

Lactulose and Bones
I have just been reading that lactulose inhibits bone loss in post menopausal women AND increases absorption of Vit D, calcium and magnesium. Has anybody else come across this?. Crazy how fast things change. The same day we saw Dr. Kwon we saw Jeff’s radiation oncologist that afternoon. As I wasn’t anticipating much of an update from that appointment, I posted an update prematurely. In short, Jeff’s radiation oncologist felt radium 223 was the best next treatment. Radium 223

An interview with Dr Aileen Burford Mason - Magnesium deficiency
Indeed a very informative interview. Most of the things were new for me. After watching this, I feel that the most important supplement for Parkinson's is the magnesium. She also provides guidance on dosage. One important thing I noted was that calcium intake is must alongside magnesium. Why? Watch it

Update on seeing Electrophysiologist - and fed up.
Hi All, I’m a bit fed up. I wrote a couple of weeks ago about the fact I’d arranged a private appointment with an EP at my local hospital this week, as I was fed up with waiting for a follow up with my cardiologist which should have happened in January. I’m paroxysmal AF, formally diagnosed last September

Does magnesium interfere with calcium absorption?
I’ve been taking calcium ever since my TT because of low PTH (500 mg x2 daily) and I’ve recently started taking Magnesium glycinate 750 mg before sleep, 2 hours after the calcium. I started seeing low calcium symptoms like cramps and I was wondering if I’m taking too much magnesium and if it interfers
