Pain on both sides
I have had pain in both my sides for over two years now, was diagnosed 2 weeks ago and on
URSO
for two weeks...it does not go away and gets worse when I'm standing ( specifically at work standing 6-12hr shifts). What can I take for this?

PBC confirmed
I read that a side effect of the
urso
is diarrhea but it seems to have has the opposite effect and I have constipation. Is there anyone who has experienced the same? I drink water and have prunes with breakfast every day is there anything else I can do or take?

Not the worst thing I've had to live with....
My Alk-phos progressively got worse as time passed and pretty much stayed around 415-460 taking five 300ml
Urso
/day. In December, my doctor put me on Ocaliva WITH the
Urso
. It took Alk-phos down to 270ish BUT I broke out in an itchy rash.

She said to him, I should keep taking the
Urso
at correct strength and the Questran (Boooo), but not the steroids yet. She says we have not got the whole picture as yet, it is a AI liver issue, my weight loss is a concern.

Does the PBC cause the itch or the urso?
I've been on
urso
about a year now. Recent bloods came back normal lft. So I guess
urso
must be working. I have scabs on my arms from itching. I did start taking questran light but gave up after a few days. Is it worth trying again.

Got my Rheumatologist results...
(Probably weather related) I've got 2 more weeks of prednisone to go before they put me on whatever jives with my
URSO
and won't hurt my liver further. I'm bummed out. Another progressive AI disease.

Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
I take 500mg of
Urso
daily. My specialist was very pleased on my recent visit, saying whatever I'm doing , too keep it up. I do stay clear of too much fatty food and alcohol. But what I do take about 3 times a day is a teaspoon of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar in a glass of water.

Helping a study on ursodeoxycholic
I received a letter today from a health team asking me if I would like to take part in a study to try and find out why some pbc sufferers respond to
urso
and some don't. They said my hospital records show I would be a good candidate for the study as I am a responder to
urso

Diagnosed a week ago today
Two weeks later I'm being diagnosed with PBC, given a script for
URSO
, scheduling a liver biopsy, and feeling relief that there is an answer for a lot of the issues I have been having the last 15 years!

Urso side effects
Hi All, I started
Urso
about five/six weeks ago and have been feeling okay until the last few days. I feel very achy and with a headache. Has anyone experienced this? Maybe its just a virus I am fighting too. Thanks!

Anyone else have PBC and RA?
And after a second attempt I seem to be tolerating
URSO
. Been back on that for 3 weeks. About 5-6 weeks ago I noticed my joints were hurting. First my knees, then progressively over the days to weeks my ankles and wrists too. I feel like the tin man of Oz needing that oil can!

Unable to take Urso for PBC
I am newly diagnosed with PBC and was given
Urso
.
Urso
made me very sick so I am now scared as to what is going to happen to me. Has anyone here not been able to take
Urso
and been well or found something else to help.
