Spotting, bloating and weight gain
I've just had bloods and swab done at the gp for above symptoms today and the spotting has turned into medium flow period type blood after being swabbed. I had a week of spotting between red and clear to pink brown discharge but I'm finding it painful around pelvic and vagina area when going to the toilet

I was starting to feel a little better, then........
Following the advice given in reply to my first email 3 months ago and using all the knowledge I have learnt from the questions and answers in the blog, I spoke to my GP and she agreed that I should increase my Levo from 75mcg to 100mcg. She also suggested that I should try Magnesium in the evening

Time to heal
It is now 9 months since I started LT4 being titrated up and last weeks blood test show I have finally hit optimal levels. My GP has agreed to test again in 3 months to check I remain stable (on 125mcg.) Now, I am sure that because of various symptoms etc; my thyroid had struggled for at least 20 years

Advice on latest blood tests
Hi all, Hoping to get some advice on bloods following my latest tests. Just wondered if it's worth increasing the T4 as it's a bit lower since putting on a little bit of weight. I'm happy with my Vit D, B12, Folate and Iron and hence have not included those results. Thanks in advance

Blood test protocol for Thyroid levels
Hi, just need some advice on doing Thyroid blood tests in the evening. I have seen the protocol for doing it in the morning before 9am and on an empty stomach etc. What about if your taking your T4 medication before bedtime at 11pm after eating your last meal 4 hours before. Do you take your blood

Big Ferritin Drop in a Year (over 50%)
Not a thyroid question, but a ferritin question if anyone is able to advise? Apologies in advance that this is long, just trying to set the scene. Brief background - I have Hashimoto's and after many years am on T3 monotherapy. I am vegetarian, and take various supplements as recommended on here, and

please help with figuring out what is wrong
I posted recently that my Mom’s Hemoglobin is dropping, same as RBC and Hemocrit, while MCV and MCH are high. She was diagnosed with Macrocytic Anemia but doctors can’t figure out the cause. The hematologist did bone marrow biopsy, PET scan and over 50 blood test, all normal except for Copper and Ferritin

Blood Tests
Hello I am 2 years post menopausal. I had blood tests done recently and my Alkaline Phosphate & Serum Gamma GT level have come back out of normal range. Has anyone else had this? I’m wondering if menopause is linked to higher Liver readings.

Who is confused? My surgery or me?
I was asked by the GP to remind him, when I reached 3mg in my tapering, that I should have a synacthen test. I have now done so. However, I am being sent for an ACTH blood test Is this the same thing (I don't think so as I have not been asked to miss the steroid dose and there is no indication that

Why should ft4 be at a certain percentage through reference range (mid to upper) when on T4/T3 combination therapy when T4 is inactive?
As per the subject title, if ft4 is inactive, then why do some people on T4/T3 therapy only feel good if their ft4 level is at the mid/upper level despite the fact their ft3 (active form) may be at a optimal level? Or if they are not feeling well, why are they advised to increase their Levo dosage if

blue fingers when in hot bath??
Has anyone else had this? It happen to my toes when I was in the shower the other day too. I don’t know if it’s Raynauds or my low ferritin/anemia or what. About to go for a colonoscopy this week for the anemia and a high positive FIT test but I can’t see it being linked to that.

Recommended Tracking App - Easy to use, tracks what I need to monitor for CKD
After searching for a long time and almost giving up, I finally found an app that does everything that I need. Yeah! It tracks my diet and helps me monitor my intake of Sodium, Potassium, Phosphate, Protein and Water, which is important for patients with CKD . At the same time it tracks calories

I was diagnosed with OP about 10 years ago due to an early menopause at 38 and was put on the weekly medication of Alendronic Acid along with calcichew. Everything was ok until 2021 when I had emergency abdominal surgery, I was in ICU for nine days and my family were told I only had a 30% chance of
