Unknown pelvic pain
I am 18 years old and a virgin and since September 2013 I have been having right sided pelvic pain. It started to be painful when i lay on my back and was quite a sharp pain. Following this, i began to experience a dull sort of pain which would come and go. Soon after I began getting a sudden sharp pain

Please help me understand my blood test results ?
I just feel fatigued and drained of energy most of the time. I don't feel refreshed when I wake up in the morning; in fact, I forcefully drag myself up. I usually get up once at night to urinate but after that I can't really go back to deep sleep. I need to take a nap in the afternoon, otherwise, I just

Constant pain? Cysts? Endometriosis? Help
I have always suffered from excruciating period pain (From about 13 onwards). They tried me on various painkillers that didn't touch the pain, it got so bad that for a good 8 days a month i was heavily bleeding/vomiting/fainting and having fits. In the end they put me on the pill, this helped slightly

Went for GnRH Injections and came out very confused!
Hello Ladies, I hope you are all ok and have had a pain free day! So here's the story...Well I walked in and they asked me a few questions and I agreed to the injection. Then the nurse asked when my last period was as you have to have the injection just after. This is when it hit me. I haven't had one

I think I now have to act based on latest results. But am confused what my next step should be. Help!!
Okay. So you will see from my posts I am going back and forth, round and round. But now I think I need to take action regarding my latest thyroid results. Long story short, I have been diagnosed with Fibro but believe there is an underlying cause. I have had two positive ANA results so been looking

What do you think about 24hr urine tests for cortisol (adrenals) vs 24hr saliva cortisol tests?
My friend has been seeing a Harley St Endo who is reluctantly testing her adrenals. (There's a bit of a back story which Is explained following my last question the other day for those who want to read it!). On my advice, she has asked for a 24hr saliva test (because it tests at 4 individual times

My thoughts are driving me crazy and I'm scaring myself!
So I'm sure we've all been there ladies but at the moment my head won't shut up worrying about cancer. I just want to run it by you guys and check if I'm going nuts and maybe you could help me relax a little. I haven't been diagnosed with endo yet I'm having my lap on May 20th but the gyno thinks it's

Are there any ladies out there with uretheral strictures?
I've found that this condition is rather rare in ladies, I'm 36 and found out recently that I have one. I've had symptoms on and off for about 5 yrs, since my daughter was born, though it was never bad enough for me to think there may be a real problem until June 2013. I mentioned to my pain specialist

Beta 2 Microglobin - an exquisitely sensitive marker for disease activity in many hematologic disorders.
Increased serum beta2 microglobulin levels reflect increased activity of the disease process in question and can be an exquisitely sensitive marker for this purpose in many hematologic disorders. The reference range of beta2 microglobulin in urine samples is 0-0.3 µg/mL. In serum or plasma samples,

Are these symptoms already a sign of a serious condition?
Hello. I am a 45 y/o male. I keep fit and run 5miles 3-4 days every week. My weight is 90kg. My heart rate, rested, is usually 50ppm. Have drunk regularly for many years. Beer, wine, GT,... Never in the morning, always after lunch or in the evenings. For several years now I drink about half a bottle

If my doctor offers Thyroxin, do I decline at this point?
For anybody not familiar with my circumstances - I had a full blood count last summer because of feeling *extremely* tired, but my thyroid came back in the normal range (2.67). In Jan, I did a saliva test to check my adrenals, which showed I am in the resistance stage of Adrenal fatigue - with my DHEA
