I would like to see a discussion of T4 & T3 Conversion. I believe I was dx with Hypothyroid and placed on Levo that made me sick.
Out of the blue on a random PE lab I was dx with hypothyroid because of an elevated TSH. I had no sx and had been walking 2 miles 3 times a week, eating reasonably well no junk or fast food pretty much ever, not a big water drinker. After 4 3/4 years of feeling like how they describe amphetamine users

Low iodine diet?
Much advice here to be careful to not add iodine supplements to diet with hypothyroid- but taking this a step further should we not all be careful to cut back on all the foods with the most iodine eg fish and prawns etc I read an article from someone who actively advises clients to cut back on these

Why is my TSH increasing?
I had my thyroid removed in Jan 2020 due to thyroid cancer and had RAI in June 2020. Since June 2020 my levothyroxine dose has stayed the same. My TSH has always been below range my levels are been suppressed due to cancer. My last blood test at GP surgery showed my TSH has increased to 0.43 from 0.22

Wondering about Betadine/Povidone-Iodine solution and Thyroid
Hello all, I am preparing for a vacation - something long overdue :-) In my preparations, I decided I needed to bring along a nasal "mist" that would essentially decontaminate my nose from any yucky stuff, viruses - covid or whatever else may be lurking. I just realized that this solution has iodine

She said as the meds given to me for PCOS were ineffective, she thinks its endo and has booked me in for

Reducing pregabalin
I'm down to 175mgs pregabalin. Every time I reduce I have a terrible night. I'm sure it does nothing for me and it's the tramadol that stops the feeling. But not always. I try not to take tram every day so I take 1 OTC ibobrufen and codeine +Kratom a couple of times a week. I read about the doctor in

How do you cope with stomach/colon cramping?
I have started to get them more frequently, and they are excruciatingly painful to the extent that I have no choice but to lie down for the rest of the day and hope it somewhat passes by the following day (just for it to come back a couple of days later). Even sitting up can be very uncomfortable!

I started a Venlafaxine 37.5mg today I’m so scared don’t know how my body is going to react. I’m always scared to take medicine no matter what it is besides Tylenol and allergy medicine. Is Long-Term Antithyroid Use the Best Treatment for Graves Disease?
This is a three-way chat among endos about long-term treatment of Graves using methimazole (effectively the same as carbimazole). Interesting the way they say that the 18 to 24 month "standard" period of treatment was based on assumption. That true long-term treatment (five, maybe ten, years) is quite

Salivary Glands Swollen 6 Months Post RAI
Hi everyone and thanks for reading! I had RAI treatment in October of 2021. My dose was 100 mci. I immediately had swollen and painful salivary glands which subsided in a day or two. I have had no issues with them until the beginning of June. Now, they constantly swell when eating. Some days are worse
