Anomalous results - please help!
However whilst the
TSH
is consistent between the two tests there is a big difference in FT4. My GP had been reluctant to increase dose to 100mcg and based on the
TSH
will certainly not entertain a further increase and given the NHS results doesn't seem appropriate.

Mum's battle
They tested her
TSH
in Hospital after I requested a thyroid test. Her
TSH
is 5.92 and her T4 free serum was 13. The endo says the test won’t be accurate because she is suffering from health problems. The posts on this forum have been eye-opening about the links of hypothyroidism to foot pain.

Serum T3 too low? (Combo therapy)
TSH
is quite suppressed but FT3 is actually below range at the time of test.

How to ask the GP for a referral letter
Any advice on how to ask my NHS GP for this as I've never had an NHS acknowledgement of my Hashi's (my
TSH
has never been anywhere near "high enough" so I had to go to a private GP for initial diagnosis and am now effectively self-treating via a pharmacy; my symptoms are way better on Thyroid treatment

Slow release T3 version, combined with levothyroxine
I've been taking them for a while and I noticed that I feel better with them than with Thybon, the tests came out good, including
tsh
is not suppressed....and no anxiety.

Success Yesterday! I’ve been prescribed T3! But should I reduce my Levothyroxine?
I would really appreciate all and any advice 🙏 My FT4 level is 20.50 (range 12-22), My
TSH
level is O.311 (range 0.27-4.20), and I’m currently taking 75mcg Levothyroxine daily. Grateful thanks as always for your help.

Can anyone make sense of these blood results?
Since then, my
TSH
has risen sky high (as you might expect). However my T3 has also risen to 4.5 and so is now within range, with NO MEDS.
TSH
is 56 and so docs are adamant that I need to take something. Where can the T3 be coming from?

Achilles reflex
It’s not something I had ever thought about until I was diagnosed six months ago with a
TSH
of 42. I’ve since then improved in some ways. Anyway, quite recently I heard about the Achilles reflex and discovered that in my case, the reflex is absent, it just isn’t there.

HRT, low white blood cell count & NDT
The blood test, apart from obviously showing almost non-extistant
TSH
(which I tried to explain to her) showed a low white blood cell count. She seemed reluctant to prescribe HRT and was concentrating on the WBC count.

Thyroxine drop
My
TSH
is way below where it should be and my Thyroid level is still at the top of the normal range. I have no energy, I'm feeling cold and alos feeling a bit down...very unlike me because I'm a positive person normally. I know that mine is autoimmune, coupled with RA, Chron's and Alopeica.

What to do about lower than expected test results?
I’d value some advice about what to do regarding my most recent test results:
TSH
: 0.02 (0.27 - 4.2) FT3: 4.6 (3.1 - 6.8) 40.5 % FT4: 18 (12 - 22) 60% This was on 125mcg Levo five time a week; 100mcg twice a week and 10mcg of Lio a day. Test done per guidelines here.

Endo review... that's a new slant!
Endo: I don't wish to discuss
with you as we disagree (0.05 results from 5 months ago) Me: 🤐 (zipped mouth)
Your fT4 is near the top of the range 17.2 (12-22) blah blah heart and bone issues blah blah
😕(confused) even though it is actually in the middle?

hyper to hypo and back
I was diagnosed with Graves in august from antibody test, t3, t4 and
TSH
. I was on methimizole 30mg daily since then. I started experiencing hypo symptoms about 2-3 weeks ago. Very cold intolerant, loss of appetite, constipation, sore and fatigue.

Blood test results.. 🤦♀️
After receiving my new blood work with an
TSH
of 11.9 it says at the bottom of the letter
TSH
target on therapy for primary hypothyroidism = 0.30..4.50mU/L Consider dose adjustment if patient is compliant and there is no MALABSORPTION.. or interfering of other medication eg, ca, fe, and ppIs.

Help with thyroid results
I have just reordered another thyroid test for my piece of mind~ but if my Ft4 is lower and
tsh
stays normal will that be classed as secondary hypothyroidism or not? Thanks for reading and any help appreciated x

TSH
0.61. Range 0.27-4.2Mu/L Free T3. Range 3.3 - 3.1-6.8 pmol/L Free thyroxine 20.5 range 12-22 pmol/L Looking if these levels are good or should I be on a combination of t3/t4 instead of thyroxine. Had underactive thyroid for nearly 70 years.

signs of mild hypothyroidism?
In March 2023 my
TSH
was 0.98 (range 0.27-4.2), and my T4 was 15.5 (range 12-22) - this was done with a private GP so sadly no T3. These bloods were taken after 12pm and not fasted. So perhaps this could affect things in relation to my newer results below.
