what’s new?
Reductions in my dosage don’t seem to be bringing me out of that where they usually do and I’ve had some weird readings where my
TSH
has gone down but my FT4 has gone down with it and vice versa when they should go the opposite direction to each other.

New GP who understands thyroid!!
Private endocrinologist discharged me back to my surgery as he "could not" treat me with my
TSH
being back in range, positive TPO in the 300's & ultrasound showing small thyroid (ords) still highly symptomatic, saw another GP at the practice really to ask for a 2nd opinion.

Advise for next appointment please. New to Forum, Really Struggling with GP.
So I did them again in September 2022
Sept 2022: [
8.76 and FT4 13.4 and FT3 9 - TPOab 115 and TgAB 350] Eventually GP saw me in February 2023, but still wouldn't provide medication saying
TSH
needed to be over 10
Feb 2023 (at GP) [
4.33 and FT4 11.4 but serum cortisol low] [

Graves and Carbimazole update
Just had my follow up
TSH
/fT4 and endo visit at the 4 month mark from starting carbi and my
TSH
came up to just under range (up from 0.003 to 0.37 with ‘normal’ range of 0.4 – 4.5 and fT4 1.04 (range: 0.8 – 1.9). Endo suggested we discontinue carbi and check hormones in 3 months.

Would love some advice
I have read that ideally the
TSH
should ideally be below 2 (it has been between 3 -5 since 2013) and T3 should be taken. I am desperate to feel well and want to give myself the best chance to get well.

3 am protocol for T3, please tell me about it?
Date = 29.2.24 Free T3 = 5.7 pmol/L [3.1 - 6.8] Free T4 = T4 level < 0.5 pmol/L [11.0 - 22.0
TSH
= < 0.01 mU/L [0.27 - 4.2]; Suppression of
TSH
suggests replacement may be excessive, assuming uncomplicated primary hypothyroidism; Below low reference limit.

TSH is 5.2 for FET cycle any help? Or advice?
hi all I'm on a lot of estrogen 5 x a day vaginally and orally and my
tsh
is elevated. I have repeated this but not holding out hope. My transfer is due to be on Friday so looks like it may be cancelled. Any advice or one who has experienced this? What did the clinic do?

question about vitamin levels
I’m Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I was wondering When our vitamin levels are at a good level , does that in turn make our thyroid levels mainly our
TSH
T3 T4 levels to rise when
TSH
is under range.

How soon should blood be tested after initial hypothyroidism diagnosis/treatment?
My
TSH
was 37.5. The hospital started me on 50mg of Levothyroxine and said I should be tested after six weeks. I have today received a text message from my Dr, stating I have autoimmune hypothyroidism.

TSH
0.07 Range 0.27 - 4.2 FT4 26 Range 12 - 22 FT3 4.3 Range 3.1 - 6.8 Could it be that a reduction in levo is required? Could it be poor conversion? I started taking the selenium to assist in the conversion but still think the ft3 result could be better.

Suppression of TSH but low T4/T3 levels whilst taking Levo/Lio Combo
Everywhere I look online seems to confirm that long-term suppression of
TSH
is bad, but for me personally, when my T4/T3 levels were higher and
TSH
still suppressed, I felt better and I feel like my symptoms are now due to anaemia, low folate/Vitamin D and lower than ideal thyroid medication.
