PT-112 and Avelumab clinical trial update
Well after 2 months of being on this clinical trial it is safe to say it was a failure for me. My PSA continued to rise throughout (starting at 80 and now at 311). My scans show new bony mets in several places with progression of lymphadenopathy everywhere. My anatomy on the left side of my neck and

Time-to-progression after front-line FCR for CLL: a retrospective, multicohort study
It has been known for some time that FCR can produce very long remissions (perhaps cures) for some patients with mutated CLL. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4760129/ This study looks at unmutated patients and could be an important study for CLL patients or, on the other hand, completely

Well I finally got my 15 minutes of fame.
Good day gentlemen. As some of you may know I am involved in a phase 1 clinical trial. Harpoon at OHSU. I finished my 3rd infusion and was anxiously awaiting going home after 9 hours at a outpatient facility. Unfortunately I had a 103 fever and a very low pressure. So I waited and waited, finally they

clinical trial UK
Husband diagnosed with APC in 2017 aged 49 yrs. Been through chemo, casodex, abiterone. PSA now rising after 10 months on Xtandi. Oncologist has suggested he is a good candidate for a clinical trial where his original samples are sent to USA for profiling. Unfortunately I was not able to be at this appointment

Trials and Retribution?
I have not posted for some time as more pressing matters have needed my attention. Those who remember past posts will be aware that I regularly involve myself in clinical trials. Why clinical trials? There is no restriction on number of type of trial. I have been assessed for clinical and medical trials

MCP benefits aggressive prostate cancer?
Dozens of peer-reviewed, published studies, including peer-reviewed human clinical trials, show how the original and only positively researched form of Modified Citrus Pectin can slow and reverse tumor growth, and reduce metastasis. These results make MCP one of the most important recommendations in

Our Saga so far...and an observation about quality of care
I've been lurking here for a couple of years but it's time for me to introduce myself and offer up our experiences so far. Please excuse the length of my story! My husband was diagnosed in the summer of 2016 at age 60 with advanced metastatic disease. It took over five months to find out what was going

Plural Effusion with CLL
Started clinical trial at Stanford, Ibrutinib and Obinutuzumab about week and half ago. WBC was >300 at start now done to 100 and lymph node size decreased significantly! Problem is CT scan showed large plural effusion at start of trial. Tolerating trial but still very short of breath with minimal exertion

Relay Thera phase one clinical trial RLY1971
I started on this trial today. It is an SHP2 inhibitor. Anyone else singing this tune by chance? ______________________ Because of the role SHP2 plays in many diseases, the development of inhibitors targeting the catalytic site in SHP2 has been pursued for more than a decade, but none were advanced

Reflections, where do you find joy or what do you find awe inspiring?
Through the Foundation, we interact with a lot of people in pain and going through very difficult fearful things. Stepping away from that part of life and thinking of the things that move us emotionally, if even for a brief time is of great value. There are so many things to be moved by. Who isn't touched

In focus: targeted therapies - bevacizumab ('Avastin')
Hello, everyone This month in our Health in Focus series, we’ll be looking at targeted therapies. Cancer cells behave differently from healthy cells in a number of ways. Help finding RCT for BAT for the hormone sensitive
RSH1 linked to a blog https://prostatecancer.health.blog/2019/09/20/bat/ which states ". . . recently the government did a clinical trial using BAT for hormone sensitive prostate cancer and the results were good." I have been unable to track this down--can anyone help?
