confused
At the review the nurse had my ct scan on her computer screen & she then suggested my Copd could be asthma related & she is changing my inhaler to
Trelegy
ellipta
. My apologies for the long post but I’m confused, is asthma the same as emphysema?

New medication for COPD.
She said to me that there is a powder inhaler called
Trelegy
Ellipta
and would I like to try it. I am currently on Trimbow which I take 2 puffs twice a day and have been for a couple of years with no problems. This Trelegy you only need to take once a day. I thought that would be ok if it worked.

ALLERGIC REACTION
I'm one of those lucky people who's had an allergic reaction to either my
Trelegy
Ellipta
or my Carbosisteine. I've spent the morning scratching. My skin feels like it's on fire and it looks like pink scales. Skin rash and hives are supposed to be possible side effects of both.

Feeling overwhelmed
After a routine lung screening CT scan I was diagnosed with mild emphysema and some calcification of my heart arteries. I was also referred for a further high definition CT Scan to confirm bronchiectasis. My GP prescribed Salamol which did nothing to help the breathlessness and chest tightness I'd been

Antibiotic advice please
I remember writing on this forum about a change in my inhaler but I’m currently using
Trelegy
Ellipta
and have been really well. Unfortunately I developed a sore throat last Saturday and this quickly developed to a lung infection.

Discussion with pharmacist
Last Friday when I went to collect my prescription I was told by the pharmacist that she had requested my prescription be reviewed. Apparently Incruse Ellipta and Montelukast should not be on prescription together (I'm also on the high dose Relvar). She wanted to know what I was being treated for Copd

Side effects of Relvar Ellipta?
Hi, I have been on Relvar Ellipta for, I think, four years now. It works well to control my asthma, but I wonder if anybody has got any side effects from this medicine? Apart from asthma, I have problems with a heart valve (Mitral), and I am hormone treatment for prostate cancer, and also I take Budesonide

Hi happy New Year to you all. I was diagnosed with severe COPD 6 years ago age 61 , I never really had any symptoms at that time or for 4 years after that. However 2 years ago I moved from a London suburb to the east of England and my symptoms have materialised very quickly. It can be quite frightening

Yendo’s history with lung problems.
Diagnosed with asthma in 1972 and started on Ventolin. In 1987 I was rushed to hospital after suffering a severe asthma attack caused after taking two aspirin pills. Previously, I had been taking aspirin for years with no adverse reactions, but I was told that allergies can begin at any time of life.

Relvar Ellipta side effects
So, I was taken off of Seretide (using for years without issue). Finished my last inhaler 4 days ago, and am now on Relvar Ellipta. Been on it for 4 days and experiencing a sinus headache for 2 days. No hoarseness and no other issues. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

A few weeks ago I had a text to arrange my annual COPD review. This is normally with the practice nurse who can prescribe medications too. I was surprised to be given a Doctor appointment. I am mild COPD and was taking Salmeterol and Carbocisteine. It seemed quite effective. The doctor advised that I
