I have been on this medication for 3 months now and alarmed at how my weight has been in creasing. I am in my seventies and was always a stable weight and this medication does help. I was also started on Ad Cal roughly at the same time. Any thoughts? Thank you.

Good morning lungs. I am on the same medication and I have found the same problem as well. They tell you to keep active and exercise. But it's certainly not easy with copd and Asthma and I have ckd as well. Especially when your getting out of breath so quickly. I think coupled the health problems with retirement means we are doing less in some ways and that doesn't help at all. It's very difficult. Take care. Brian
Thank you. Have you been using Trelegy for a long time ? In my case I have been retired for over a decade so don't put it down to that. 3 months on this medication makes me think that is the reason my weight is steadily increasing. Pity,as it seems to be good for breathing. However if my weight keeps increasing at the rate it is I may have to gett on the medication roundabout again.
I have been on it for nearly 3 years now. But as I said retirement and copd really limits me for doing exercises really .I am thinking about getting a rowing machine to try at home because that works all your muscles in the one exercise. And it's sitting down. So I can just sit and get my breath back when needed. Brian
i am on trelegy ( for a year now) and i put on weight.( maybe its because there is a little bit of steroid in it). However, it helps my copd and i’ve tried many preventers before, and this is the best so far.
i don't think Trelegy Ellipta can cause weight gain. there was a study that shoed it unlikely.
Adcal is just Vit D and Calcium and unlikely to cause any significent weight gain. More likely I found is getting old with COPD/Asthma and not quite as active.
