I’ve been on the high dose of relvar for almost a month now . I have had really bad neck pain and upper back which seems to be getting worse.

I can’t think what else is causing it . Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this.

Hi,

I have been on a low dose (92/22) Relvar Ellipta for 8 years now without any issues with neck pain. But, we are all different to each other, and we react differently to our medicines. Maybe your higher dose is causing you the neck pain. Maybe it will settle down after a short while, once the body got used to the new medication. If the pain persists, I think you should speak to an asthma professional.

Been on the higher dose for years with no issues. Maybe speak to the pharmacist or prescriber, they might be able to shed some light on the symptoms. I hope the pain eases soon .

I've been on this for a while now with no new neck pain. I've had problems with herniated disks in the past and osteoporosis so I regularly do pilates exercises to keep the muscles strong and supple so they can support the joints including those in the back.

I recommend getting assessed by a physiotherapist, you may be able to self refer. Pain can be referred pain (from a different area to the area where the pain is) a physiotherapist will be able to work out what is causing it and refer you onwards to a musculoskeletal Dr if needed.

They have been very helpful when I've had new joint pain and they gave me pilates exercises that help keep me pain free. (I have tendoninitis in my hip).

I'm taking Relvar Ellipta 92/22 ( don't know if that's a high or low dose).I have had no additional pain while taking this med. I have Osteoporosis in my neck and it's mostly under control.

For me, there is no link between Relvar and my neck pain.

Try discussing with an asthma nurse or doctor they will likely refer you to a physio. The neck exercises are helpful and if you make it part of your daily routine the neck pain will improve. Good luck.
