Post IMRT questions
Have not been here for a while. I had IMRT about 14 months ago and have been on Lupron for a little longer. My Questions: Had a recent heart attack (minor) and have a history of heart trouble. I believe I read somewhere during my furious research phase at the beginning that Lupron may not be the best

Psyllium husks - lower LDL
My cholesterol is very slightly above normal (total 5.2, HDL 1.6, LDL 3.4, triglycerides 0.7). A heart scan showed some plaque on my LAD. The consultant wasn’t concerned but advised me to lower the LDL to below 2.6. Well, I don’t drink, am maybe 4kg overweight but am training for triathlons and have

Fenbendazole probably not working for me
In my case I think it is pretty clear that Fenbendazole has not been effective. Old History PSA 5.3, RP March 2009, Gleason 3+4, focal PNI PSA undetectable until Oct. 2011 PSA 0.658, Salvage Radiation Sept/Oct 2012 No impact on PSA, RO clueless July 2014, Nano-MRI at Radboud

Aggressive Clinical Trial Patient at JH
Hi, I’m happy to have found this network. I’m in a clinical trial at Johns Hopkins. My treatment course is more aggressive than standard and beyond obviously hoping it eradicates my cancer, It should do a tiny bit to shed more light on the efficacy of early aggressive multi modal treatment after RP

Hi. I have been on 5mg a day of Ramipril . I am a bit worried as of late my pulse has been in the 55-60 range, and I am no athlete !
My blood pressure has been 110/70 on low side and 140/85 on high side. I have recently quit smoking and started to eat better, but I am concerned of heart being to slow? Anyone had this?

Very high BP this morning, can't get to doc, can I take more irbesartan?
I'm new here. I take 150 mg of Irbesartan at night. Blood pressure was 190/110 this morning. Can I take more Irbesartan until I can get to the doc? Their office is closed for the weekend. I do not want the ER due to the current virus exposure.

Please help me understand these results
Hello, everyone. I am confused. The results of my last test and current cholesterol test results show my LDL HDL ratio is 3.3. But looks like everything is out of whack.. If I understand correctly. You are supposed to take the total cholesterol number and divide it by Your HDL Result and that is actually

Anyone on Eltroxin or L-Thyroxine by Takeda?
So, my doctor sent me a prescription for levo. I specifically asked her to use the generic name as I don't want Euthyrox that I've been on in the past since it has been reformulated to include mannitol. I know many patients have complained about Teva's levothyroxine which contains mannitol, and I've

Hello, I've just received my latest results. The reverse T3 seems high which may cause the lack of absorbtion of my thyroid meds. I have a double mutation on DIO1 and DIO2. What are your thoughts of these results?

Seeking Post-RP Advice for Very High Risk, G9, Low PSA
I had RP in Aug 2019 at 56 years of age. Pre-surgery PSA was 5.3. Pathology showed G9, negative margins, ECE, seminal vesicle invasion and 1 positive lymph node, stage T3bN1. Based on my 3mth PSA of <0.03, my urologist is taking a wait and see approach to follow on treatment. My 6 month follow up is

High cholesterol?
Hello, I recently did a blood test through the company Thriva, anyway I was slightly shocked to see my cholesterol was a bit high. Should I consult my gp or are my results just a tad high and nothing to worry about? I will attach my results, thanks. Oh and the blood test was conducted after an 8hr fast

Stopping Casodex before stopping Lupron
I am on day 30/34 of IMRT Salvage Radiation. I started Bicalutimide just prior to starting Leuprolide Acetate back in November. I have tolerated the ADT treatment fairly well with minimal side effects. A Decipher test was performed midway through this per my request and my Decipher score came back
