My blood pressure has been 110/70 on low side and 140/85 on high side. I have recently quit smoking and started to eat better, but I am concerned of heart being to slow? Anyone had this?

Hi. I have been on 5mg a day of Ramipril . I am a bit worried as of late my pulse has been in the 55-60 range, and I am no athlete !
Hi crispy1970. You should check with your GP before anyone else. I don't think it's anything to worry about but be sure to check with the GP. Let us know how it goes. x
If you are not symptomatic such as being overly tired or dizzy then it may not be anything to be concerned with. But it is always best to let your doctor know and be sure he or she is not concerned.
Hi, Thanks for your response. I also have had some anxiety as of late and been a bit dizzy. I also am noticing that my BP can go 106/66 on low side in afternoon and 135/85 in evening. Is it also normal to have such a range thru the day? Pulse seems to be at rest about 55-60 average, 71-76 when painting house for example.
I take ramipril 5mg plus other meds and my resting pulse has become very similar to yours whereas it was in the 70s at rest before.I have queried it but no one seems too concerned.
Hi, Mine use to be low 70s at rest, just feel it going so low, like when I get up fast or relaxing. I have been having trouble with anxiety as of late also, some skipping do not go well with it so slow already.
Hi, since there is no way I want to go to hospital atm with covid 19 around. I thought I might ask you few questions if thats ok. I am on 5mg of Ramipril. I have noticed few things as of late. Keep in mind I am also having Anxiety as of late. My Blood pressure is all over the map, Some points during mid afternoon can be 101/65 then in evenings can be 150/80 , other kinda weird reading is lots of times its 124/70 or 130/70 . The other thing is my pulse when I am really relaxed is like 55bpm. I have only felt dizzy a few times getting up fast, Is this all pretty normal? ...Thanks so much for your help. Stay safe !
I can not diagnose you but try taking your blood pressure lying sitting and then standing. Have someone help you if you need to. Try to do a telehealth or even over the phone with your doctor to see if they want to change anything with your medication. Make sure you have the blood pressure and heart rate readings available to tell them what they were. When first getting up go slower be mindful of not going too fast to avoid getting dizzy. I would also keep a log of what you were doing and how you were feeling each time you are checking your blood pressure. I see no reason that you couldn't talk to your doctor without getting exposed to covid. Take care.
