Source of NDT or T3?
Looking for some advice. Iāve been having hypothyroid symptoms for years, with FT3 at the very bottom end and often below range the few times I got the doctor to test it. Morning oral temp at 35.8-36.0C Only a couple of times did it approach 50% of range and that was using desiccated thyroid supplements

Please can you help me with these levels? Rai booked imminently.
Hi, I have rai booked imminently & want to know for sure if my levels warrant it - TSH - <0.01 T3 - 8 T4 - 16 Iāve been told it was toxic nodules, now 2 years later told by a different consultant itās graves? The consultant secretary said they mean the same thing when overactive? Is this correct?

Finally treatment!! Central hypothyroidism recognition
Finally, after all these years of missed opportunities to diagnose thyroid dysfunction I have been prescribed Levothyroxine for the first time. I walked away from the GP appointment with a sense of disbelief. It's been a battle (as it surely has for many others on this forum). My GP has prescribed despite

Need for less thyroid hormone replacement in summer

Advise on TSH and FT4 results
Hi All, Last week, I had a liver fibroscan, and the nurse informed me I had no scarring. However, he noted that there is a lot of fat (CAP score 307). The nurse took some blood samples, including TSH and free T4, as well as vitamin D, iron, transferrin, transferrin saturation, and ferritin. I already

Sub-clinical Hyperthyroidism
Hi everyone - the thyroid can be a mean beast! And the endocrine system is complicated. I was diagnosed in 2017 (not Graves) and after a year under the endo my carbimazole dose was fixed at 5mg and 10mg on alternate days. I was discharged to GP care. After that, every 6 month blood test showed TSH and

Back again !!
On 8th April 2024 I had a blood test as I was feeling tired and generally under par, tested my TSH 3.7 ( 0.27-4.2) T4 12.6 (12-22) so my dr increased my Levothyroxin to 75mcg. I felt a little bit better but had another blood test on 5th June and my result was TSH 3.01 and my T4 13.7 I'm feeling tired
