Todays endo visit
Hi, I have been for my very first endo appointment today and I must say it has been eye opening. After all the awful reports I have read on this forum I think I might have struck lucky first time. Mind, I was recommended to try this one by another member and a friend of mine who has also seen him.

Has anyone had eight months of treatment using Rituxan and Treanda (bendamustine)
Has anyone had eight months of treatment using Rituxan and Treanda (bendamustine) instead of the manufacture recommendation of six months? If yes, did you get longer remission time? History: CLL diagnosed in 2004. On W&W until October 2007. Treatment began using Leukkeran (chlorambucil) dexamethasone

New endo appointment and new blood results - help appreciated :)
Quick back story is that I've been hypo since age 21 (now 38) have TPO antibodies so I'm assuming hashi's. Saw an endo for the first time in April who agreed to me trialing 10mcg of T3 with my 125mcg of levo which has made no difference. That endo wouldn't prescribe a higher dose of T3 as I had surpressed

Introducing Myself
Hi, My name is Kim Marrelli. I was diagnosed with Myeloma 4 years ago. I am considered high risk with t(4:14) (MMSET/FGFR/IGH). To be honest, I only partially understand what all that means. In the past, I have been teated with Revlimid, Velcade, Kyprolis, Pomalyst and the ever popular, Dexamethasone

Hi there, introducing myself...
I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma after a persistent pain in a my leg. I started treatment with VAD chemo, but recently switched to Bortezomib and dexamethasone... Would be nice to read about similar MM journeys!

Cyclosporin
Hi all Having tried and failed with: Azathioprine, Rituximab, IvIG, N-Plate, Eltrombopag, Predisolone, MMF and Dexamethasone. I am tapering my prednisone so that I am off it shortly and will then begin Cyclosporin. Anyone any experience with this? Has it worked? Side effects?

Second opinion?
I am a 36 yr old female, currently unmedicated, with many hypo symptoms - predominantly fatigue & a fuzzy hangover feeling most of the time but a few other symptoms too. I've had two blood tests so far... the first in December showed elevated TSH (7.5ish), the second in April was just about within

Help! Swollen face and extreme fatigue. Labs are normal but have started on T3. Should I raise the dose or consider NDT?
Hi Everyone. I have had ongoing symptoms of severe hypo for one year now following a stressful event. The most troubling is facial swelling, pain, and extreme fatigue. All labs are "normal" (see below). My doctor finally agreed that it may be thyroid resistance and to prescribe T3. I have been on it

Sorry another question lol, has anyone had success with anti D immunoglobin or WinRHo?
High pulse dexamethasone is losing its efficacy so my next emergency treatment is anti d immunoglobin. Has anyone tried it, what are the side effects and has it worked for anyone? Tbh I'm so fed up with ITP even if it lasted a few weeks I would be over the moon. Steroids have really messed me up and

Travelling by plane and low platelets? Does a menstrual cycle lower platelets?
After three pulses of high dose dexamethasone, my platelets have crashed once again, down to 20. However my petechiae is looking a bit redder and spreading a bit and I've started my period since then so Im wondering if its decreased further due to this? Anyway, I'm due to go on holiday in two weeks

Thinning hair
I have been on quite a combination of drugs, fighting last relapse, since November: rituximab, two 4-day pulses of dexamethasone 40mg 1st and 3rd week, IVIG, then azathioprine for 2 weeks and then 6-MP for 2 weeks. As rituximab has eventually worked, I was taken off 6-MP about a month ago and after

Glucose and Cortisol Blood test interpretation help needed please!
Hello, I am a patient of Dr Gordon Skinner and as most of you know he has passed away. Apart from being absolutely devastated about his untimely demise, I am now struggling to find anyone who may treat me as he did...symptoms first rather than lab results! I know that many of you on here are as good

Recurrent croup and asthma
My sons aged 5 and 7 have suffered from severe recurrent croup since being babies with regular hospital admissions and dexamethasone steroid treatment. They haven't had a proper diagnosis of asthma however they are both on clenil and ventolin which I have no idea if the clenil is actually working because

I have been suffering from an itchy scalp which produces dry flaky skin and a red rash, for around five years now.
I have been prescribed betamethasone valerate and apply it several times a week. I cannot get the bottom of what causes it and my GP is not interested. can anyone help? Should i be taking the steroid long term?
