Forget the normal range. They are trying to see if your cortisol levels will depress when you take the dexa and will be looking for a result under about 50.

A result of 16 shows that they actually depressed very well, so at some point I would expect them to be telling you that you don't have Cushings.

I had this test done last year, and I still don't know why. Not the most pleasant of experiences. I was very weak and wobbly for a couple of days, presumably until my cortisol levels rose again.

Yes I did it 3 times.

The dexamethsone seemed to improve me.

Synathin test I found I couldn't walk on one occasion. Nursing staff were standing there with the wheelchair even though I couldn't move. I found it cause me to loose salt. I had to persuade the endo to give me diurite.

I have some metabolic block on 11 Hydroxcortisol.

Because I don't have high DHEA not now I don't have Congenital

Adrenal Hyperplasia. Or late on set

I was told by Dr C.

They have these tests they haven't acule.

I was on HRT for years because my oestragen ran out at 37.

now 58.

Doctors are very good at saying psychiatrist to shut you up.

Or so it seems.

I had my 1st endo in 1983 I felt he was trying.. Or at least he felt my hand....

He said obviously had an encrine problem. I don't know what he was

Feeling for sweat or hardness.

I don't sweat that much?

Or it could of been softness.

A medical parmist I went too said my palms are too soft.

My skin is soft all over.

It does dry out if I don't watch it.

All Dr C said these conditions change over time.

Basically more of the system fails.

What you gain from that?

They have technology but they don't know how to use it. Or their not young enough. We need the ones just out of college or still in research.
