High TPO antibodies and developing hypothyroidism
Hi all sorry if this is a silly question but is it inevitable to develop hypothyroidism with
TPO
antibodies >1000 I understand the process of attacks on the thyroid and reducing its ability to function. But also read not everyone with antibodies go onto develop hypothyroidism.

In the gutter
This different GP also mentioned he looked up December 2020's bloods which said I had the
TPO
of someones thyroid that would go kaput in the future. No idea what it all means. I'm negative for a.n.c.a and antineuclear antibodies. Red and white blood cells ok. If anyone can please help.

Abnormal TPO at 8.70?
TPO
came at 8.70 for a normal range of 0-5.61 iu/mL according to the results. My GP is claiming that my
TPO
is fine because the NHS criteria is that everything is fine if the
TPO
is <9.

The effects of Nigella sativa on thyroid function, serum Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor – 1, Nesfatin-1 and anthropometric features
Serum concentrations of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) and anti-thyroid peroxidase (anti-
TPO
) antibodies decreased while serum T3 concentrations increased in Nigella sativa-treated group after 8 weeks. There was a significant reduction in serum VEGF concentrations in intervention group.

Weight Gain on levothyroxine after 18 months
Got a message from GP to book a consultation tomorrow to discuss my
TPO
result and going to tell them I cannot carry on taking levo with the weight gain. I do all the right things and on levo there is weight gain - without it there is not.

Feeling a little lost.
Hi, first post but have been lurking on here for a while now and have learned a lot. I was diagnosed with underactive thyroid twenty five years ago. Didn’t know much about it then and relied on my gp completely. At the beginning of this month I asked, for the first time, for vitamins D and B12, ferritin
