Understanding test results
Hi, I have had concerns about my thyroid since my PT suggested I have many of the symptoms. I did a private test which came back as me having a TSH of 26 mU/L. I contacted the doctor and finally got to see him on Thursday. This led to blood tests Friday and through the night the results came through

Hypothyroidism in pregnancy
Thyroid dysfunction was defined using the 2.5th-97.5th FT4/TSH percentile of
TPO
-Ab negative women. Euthyroid controls consisted of women with appropriate FT4 levels within the 10-90th percentile and with a normal TSH level.

CONFUSED
I’ve just been told by my Surgery’s Clinician that my
TPO
is 310 but a normal reading would be 34. This has scared me somewhat but he is arranging for me to see an Endocrinologist. Can anyone enlighten me please.

Blood Test Results - TPA seem strange
Hi, I have just received my Medichecks results. The result for TPA is 9 The range is <34 I know this fluctuates but was surprised to see it under range. My doctor checked it in 2007 and it was 56. It has not been checked since. So, do I still have Hashimotos? Does it fluctuate so much? I have

I’ve been taking too much T3
please can someone help. I’m taking 50 mcg levo and 10 mcg lio (2x 5 mcg) daily. However I’ve just checked my meds and realised for the last month I’ve been taking 2 x 10 mcg per day T3. When I collected my prescription from the hospital I had a mix of 10 mcg and 5 mcg - I must have mixed them up.

Update: moving in the right direction (Graves now Hashimoto's?). New blood results, advice appreciated.
Will telling them I feel better than I have for years and the fact I have positive
TPO
antibodies be enough to convince them I need levothyroxine? I don't want them to say I should stop taking it! In fact, I've been feeling so good recently that I've taken up painting! Any advice appreciated.

Going it alone but hit a snag
Hi all Since my post from June, after initially trying to increase the T3, I had massive heart palps and sweating, phone endo on 12th July who said to leave T3 at 2.5 mcg per day and leave levo at 91.07mcg per day. He informed me the symptons I was talking about, hip pain, muscle aches etc where not

Hi I have had a Medichecks blood test before having my Endo appointment next week. I’m on 50 mcg levothyroxine and 10 mcg Liothyronine (taken as 5 mcg twice daily). My TSH levels are low and TPA very high. Is this normal on combination therapy? While I feel better on this regime I cannot lose the

Going back to the beginning
The only test she would agree to run (in addition to the TSH, FT4 and FT3) was
TPO
antibodies. She refused to test for thyroglobulin antibodies as she said it was not relevant to me.

High level TSH and fertility
Hi all, I am currently meant to be starting IVF however due to my TSH coming back at 4.6, they are now testing my anti
TPO

Sense-check, Hashi Swings, and inability to lose weight
Also interesting to consider is the consistently
decreasing Tg-AB and
-AB counts. Either this means my gluten-free and dairy free and autoimmune diet is decreasing autoimmunity issues. Or my thyroid is getting progressively damaged, thus having less and less effect on these markers.

Newly diagnosed - Hashimoto's question
Hello all. Having lurked here for the best part of a month and learned tons of informative stuff, I’m posting to ask for some specific advice. I was diagnosed as hypothyroid five weeks ago, after a couple of months of feeling terrible – exhausted, nauseous, aching, generally ill. After lots of investigations

NDT Erfa not working - help?
Anyway, I have raised
TPO
levels and he prescribed me NDT Erfa at 1/4 grain twice a day for 4 weeks then 1/2 grain twice a day for 4 weeks. I felt good for the first few days of taking it and felt like I had woken up and my hands and feet warmed up and I felt an overwhelming calmness.

? Hashimotos and ? Hypothyroid problems despite normal tsh.
I’m trying to find out if I have thyroid antibodies after discovering an old (2008) blood result of 127 for the
tpo
test which was never discussed with me or followed up despite hypo thyroid symptoms and having coeliac disease. Thanks
