Hypothyroid hashimotos
I saw another gp who put my dose back up to 125mcg and tested my
TPO
which was 157. He also told me that I have hashimotos. After another 6 weeks of still not feeling great and putting on loads of weight I have been RE tested and my TSH is back to 0.4.

Is my GP being unreasonable?
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism after the birth of little girl about a year ago when my TSH levels were over 40 MU/L. I’ve been taking 100mg of levothyroxine ever since. I’ve been more or less ok apart from dips around my period time. However about 2 weeks ago the crushing tiredness returned along

Prolonged Duration of Hashitoxicosis in a Patient with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis: A Case Report and Review of Literature
Distinguishing between Graves and Hashimoto's is important but we do see quite a few questionable diagnoses here. Important to note the mildly elevated TSI in this case. Good to see a case handled with subtlety and, apparently, sympathy. [i]Cureus. 2018 Jun; 10(6): e2804. Published online 2018 Jun

What to ask for next? Referral? What specialism?
Just requested antibodies, could only get
TPO
tested on nhs.
TPO
ab present. (GP would not say more than ‘your thyroid condition is an autoimmune condition’.) Had bvits, vitD, ferritin etc tested also. B12 low, so called in rapidly for loading dose of 6x vitB12 injections.

Do you need any treatment with high A-TPO but normal TSH?
I requested my first thyroid test in Nov 2014. Back then I didn’t know anything about thyroid and requested the test only because I’d been feeling bad for quite a long time and my friend suggested I should have my thyroid tested. The doctor said that the results were outside the range but this was due

TSH increased on Thyroxine!
My
TPO
antibodies were 113.5 so she agreed to give me 50mcg of levothyroxine. I have now been on this for 8 weeks and had my blood tested on Monday. My TSH has rise to 8.7 and T4 is 12!!! Any ideas why TSH would rise so sharply on levothyroxine? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What do I need to ask my GP for full blood test
I was newly diagnosed in January this year with Thyroid peroxidase antibody level 109IU/mL <60.00 IU/mL which I believe means I am Hashimoto's! However my Plasma TSH level was not high enough to be medicated 4.38 mU/L 0.30-4.20mU/L I posted my January blood results previously. I have an appointment

Thyroid Test Results
IU/ml 0.00 - 115
TPO
antibodies. *77.9. 0.00 - 34 The report said all were normal except
TPO
and said to retest in 6 months. I think that although results are in the “normal” range, they are only just in! Does anyone agree with this?

What else could be causing fatique
I got repeat bloods done last week to discover what could be causing my fatique and they were as follows: TSH 0.68 (0.2-4.2) T4 27 (12-22) can’t remember FT4 but it was high T3 2.7 (1.0-3.1)
TPO
>600 I know my T4 is over but my doctors not too concerned so could it be causing fatigue?

Why must we be completely gluten free?
When I was first diagnosed my
TPO
antibodies were >1300 (more than) ref range <35 I’ve just had bloods taken and I asked for the antibodies to be checked again to see if they have reduced although the endo said he didn’t think they would go down.

Have I got Hashimoto's or not?
TSH / free T4 /
TPO
& TG antibodies, serum Ferratin are all within "normal range". However, despite requests I have not been tested for : free T3 or reverse T3.

Just wondering what the range is for
TPO
as mine maybe high. I've discovered a gluten intolerance and I has strep throat at the time of the blood being taken. How can I reduce my
TPO
? Do I need to if I feel ok?
