was fine when tested in October. I’m so tired of living like this. I feel like I’ve had every test under the sun and the doctor is thoroughly sick of me

New Subclinical hypothyroidism diagnosis-but is it Hashimotos?
Hi, Have just been started on 50mg dose of Levothyroxine based on these TSH results (pics attached) and
TPO
antibodies of 510 and T4 of 14, (range to 22) GP won’t commit to a diagnosis of anything but Subclinical hypothyroidism but I would like to understand if it’s autoimmune or not to ensure I

Autoimmune thyroiditis - Hashimotos or Graves?
I had my Anti Thyroglobulin Abs & Anti
TPO
Abs checked (by accident) - they were 17 U/ml and 119 U/ml respectively. My understanding is that they indicated autoimmune thyroiditis and I assumed that meant Hashimoto’s. However, my locum GP mentioned Graves as a possibility.

Thoughts on latest test?
No
TPO
antibodies. Any advice on what to ask and suggest at next appointment? Thoughts are to just continue on levo at 50mcg for the next few months and see how levels respond then.

Do I have Hashimotos? I consistently have high levels of anti TPO antibodies in my annual bloods. Around the 500 mark. TSH and T4 normal.
I've had these high levels of anti
tpo
antibodies highlighted in my bloods since 2018. Other levels within normal range. My own research shows me links between ulteceria and hashimotos. I would like to know if I definetly have Hashimotis.

Have I cracked it?
TSH 0.01 (0.27-4.2) FT4 21.3 (12-22) FT3 6 (3.1-6.8)
TPO
down a bit (still higher than at diagnosis) at 232 suggests that if it was a Hashi Flare and not just sudden absorption improvement it might be passing.

Is it necessary to start treatment with L-thyroxin 50 μg ?
The
TPO
value has shot up to 90.2 kIU/L (normal: up to 34) and TSH had increased to 3.04mIU/l (normal:0.27-4.20). I was referred to an endocrinologist who perscribed L-Thyroxin with Iodine 50 μg. After two weeks my bloods showed that
TPO
had increased again to 118 but TSH had decreased to 1.51.

High TgAb but normal TPO.
My
TPO
levels normal but TgAb is 1200+ when lab ranged are 0 - 115.
TPO
seems the main level rised in Hashis. Has anyone experienced this?

Can anybody help with results?
I did test positive for
TPO
antibodies last year (this feeling of not being right has been going on for a while). I get hot easily and sweat more - conversely I get cold easily too! Any advice would be most welcome. I am due to speak to my doctor next week following the results. thank you

High B12 - more tests needed?
Also, she has autoimmune thyroiditis, having tested positive for
TPO
& anti-thyroglobulin antibodies. Would it be worth while to do further blood tests, & if so, what?

Hot Weather Coming
It is also important
tpo
keep well hydrated - those on fluid restriction should speak to their HF nurse. Also be careful of sunburn as some of our drugs make us burn easier. I doubt I will ever be "brown as a berry" again.

In a quandary
I then asked if she’d be able to test my thyroid levels and she agreed to test my TSH, T4 and
TPO
antibodies. I omitted to mention that for the last 3 months I’ve been self-medicating with Metavive and, more recently, Thyroid-S. Blood draw is arranged for Tuesday 13th June at 9.10am.
