Vaping or Nebulising ? - disgraceful ! ....
I have a large Nebuliser Device, and a small portable one which is very useful when out and about , WHEN " TAKEN SHORT" AS THEY SAY ! , .... As you probably know, when you use the small one , a small amount of " smoke " comes out of the machine between inhaling , if your not using the face mask, -

Safe to use Pulmicort inhaler with Nebuliser?
Hello All. I have been using a Pulmicort inhaler for a couple of weeks (for thickened bronchial tubes resulting in bubbly cough, blocked/runny nose, unable to bring up phlegm - all being diagnosed, had HRCT ‘ blood tests) Just remembered I have a never used nebuliser from Lidl. Could make my own saline

Steroids through a nebuliser
Hey, At my last consultants apt a couple of weeks ago I was given steroids to have through my nebuliser twice a day (in addition to fostair, qvar and oral steroids) he said whilst I was there I may as well have the salbutamol and ipatropium at those times as well (instead of using them as needed).

Pnumothorax questions
I'm glad I found this page and am hoping someone might be able to help me. My husband has been a firefighter for 17yrs. He recently attended a really bad fire that made it on the national and international news. At the same time of this fire we also got a pet cat. Hubby had previously said he thought

Nebulizer
Does anyone know the secret to using all of the medication in the nebulizer? I have tried tapping it, turning the machine off and letting it settle, breathing deeper as well as other things with no success. Help please. Thanks

How to fight a cold?
I’m nursing a really bad cough. Nebulizer treatments, cough drops and steroids. Will cardio help or hinder at this time? My mom thinks I need to rest bc I have so little energy but I feel I need to keep exercising to fight back this cold. Any recommendations?

Hi...and thank you for all your messages
Sorry if I didn’t thank everyone personally but I thank you all for your support. Not a good day for Dad, pleurisy on one side and fluid filling up the other lung..so his heart is tired. They are putting him on diuretics, it will affect his kidneys which were dehydrated but they have tried to rehydrate

Asthma Attack followed by Chest Infection and Pleurisy
I really value the comments on this site. Just over 2 weeks ago I had a hacking dry cough, temperature and bad wheezing so took 3 days off work and saw the GP. He gave me antibiotics and prednisolone. That same evening I had an asthma attack and paramedics came out and administered a nebuliser that

First serious attack since I was 21
I took myself to West Mid A&E last Saturday feeling awful. Within 2 minutes of my arrival I was on a nebuliser and, 6 hours later, having been offered a bed for the night chose to go home instead. That was the worst attack I’d had in over 3 decades and I found the experience rather shocking. I’ve managed

Chest infection and coughing where I couldn’t regulate my breathing and felt as though I was ‘drowning’ in my throat
Last night I had an awful experience that I found quite scary. I had been wheezing since Monday and managed to see GP on Friday. He confirmed I had a chest infection and prescribed antibiotics and Prednisolone that had before in February when I had my first ever chest infection. I had developed a cough

Nebuliser with a cold?
I sometimes use a nebuliser with saline, I have a cold at the moment so is it a good idea to keep breathing in moist cold air from the nebuliser? Thanks for any advise. I have severe emphysema.

Evening sorry all just in need of a rant. Have been admitted yet again. 7th time this year I think. Feeling rough from all the drugs (magnesium aminophillyn Nebs etc) nearly ended up in ITU this time round. Each attack seems worse than the last. Beginning to worry where it will end. Have don’t nothing

Nebuliser
Hi I have mixed airways disease, but also severely restricted lung function due to curvature of spine. I'm on atrovent, flixotide and venolin. Use via a spacer. It has been suggested by Brompton that it may help to get my inhalers (not Flixotide) into my lungs more efficiently if I use a nebulisor.

Another update on sister
Hi. My sister has had another attack of asthma. She finished up in a and e where she was put on nebulizer. Went to see respiratory nurse week later. Was told she needed more steroids so was put on fostair 200. Was on fostair 100. It doesn't seem to be making much difference in fact it seems to be making
