Nebuliser
My Mum recently passed away with CPOD and I have a nebuliser that may be of use to someone. I am aware that these things can be expensive so if anyone has a need for this, I will be happy to give it to you, no charge.

Pulmonary function test and race
Hi. I recently found my pulmonary function test from last year. For the first time I noticed two errors. One was my race which said Caucasian and I’m not and second it said I used albuterol nebulizer to test reversibility and I actually made a mistake and took spiriva. My allergist knew I made a mistake

The funny side of ICU and a long-term hospital stay.
Hi everyone. So, although my trauma was terrible and savage (sepsis, multi organ faliure, pneumonia, ARDS, ECMO) I just want to take the time to talk about the lighter more humorous side of being in hospital, and some of the truly wonderful memories I have from being there. I hope some of you can relate

Post attack advice please
Hi all So Tuesday i ended up going to a+e on blues and twos from my GP surgey. This is the first time it's happened. I know I grumbled about the asthma care I've received from my surgery but to be fair to them, they were brilliant. I had been struggling for a few days and using my ventolin A LOT.

Preventer still not working after a month
Hi! I have been using Seretide 250 as a preventer for a month and I still feel the same. I know that it can take several months to see the full effect but I thought that I would at least start to feel a little improvement. I still have to use ventolin several times a day and my nebs three times a day

Hernia and shortness of breath
In 2016 I had my gallbladder removed. Unfortunately I developed a incisional hernia. I also have a hiatus hernia. It caused severe shortness of breath and because I was desperate arranged to have it repaired privately. Unfortunately was put on steroids just before the op and it didn’t go ahead. Things

Nebuliser
Hi all. My asthma has been really bad for 5 weeks now. Hospital admission for a week. Back on high dose steroids after a 2 day break. I saw my gp yesterday and she said to increase nebulisers. I was having 5ml salbutamol every 4 hours including through night. And 3 atrovent daily. Plus symbicort

Hi All, My history (sorry this is long). I'm 54 and have never had any asthma or allergy issues until Aug / Sept 2018. In Aug 2018 I started to sneeze a lot and when outside exercising afterwards was short of breath and trying to catch my breath (not all the time intermittently) . I thought I just

Can antihistamines help during an asthma flare up ?
Hi everyone! As I am still struggling to bring my asthma under control, I was wondering if antihistamines (desloratadine) could potentially ease the symptoms or stop an ongoing attack that has been lasting for hours if not days ? I am very concerned about my asthma right now because I am going through
