Nebulizers
Anyone else use a nebulizer? Was just given one but not really sure if I like it more than an inhaler. What do you do to pass time while nebulizing

Use of nebulizers
I get very short of breath when walking short distances, is it advisable to use a nebuliser without seeing my G P?

Colistimethate powder for use in a nebuliser
Good afternoon all, on a daily basis I take the above powdered antibiotic (Promixin) through my nebuliser with a saline solution to help with my psudamonas bugs. The other day I noticed I had ran out of saline so I had to used one of my salbutamol solutions to mix it. Will this have been ok? Has anyone

Colomycin
I have put in colomycin inhalant with nebuliser. But been on for two weeks now and feel so much worse. Been taken off of it my breathing is no where near as bad as it was. Within a day or so. Not sure what they will do now also on steroids. Had pseudomonas infections on and off since last October. Always

Inhalers that 'treat Covid-19 patients at home' to be rolled out in nationwide trial.
Brits in the early stages of Covid-19 will be given an inhaler which sprays an experimental drug into their lungs as part of a nationwide trial. Scientists hope the nebuliser will stop people from entering a rapid deterioration phase and enable the immune system to fight off the infection at home.

Finding a better GP
Ive always had reservations about my GP but this last few weeks have been a total joke. Had an asthma flare first treated with 5 day pred, wouldnt give antibiotics despite me always ending up with secondary infection but out of hours prescribed a few days later. Thanks to the infection i needed a longer

Advice welcome
Hi This is a long post... So back at the end of March, just as I had started to shield, I had an awful asthma attack, along with an insane temperature, I was shaking violently as I was so cold yet my temperature was at 41 by the time I was rushed to hospital. I spent the weekend in, they thought I

Left sided chest pain-Not sure what it is.
So my Dad was ventilated for several weeks with Covid. By Gods grace, he’s come round and now rehabilitating on a ward. He’s presently on nasal oxygen. Now his present complaint is pain/discomfort on left side of chest when lying down-more so at night. He reports feeling hypoxic, even though saturation

My consultant is going to arrange for me to have a nebuliser. What does this entail?
I have Bronchiectasis with colonised pseudomonas. He would normally have me in for IV antibiotics and a nebuliser is safer in these coronavirus times.

Hi - I was wondering if anyone could give me a bit of advice. I have suffered from asthma for quite a few years and this has always been under control until a couple of weeks ago. I went to work as normal (I work in a hospital) and must admit I didn't feel brilliant when i got up anyway after speaking

Why are we instructed to replace nebulizer medicine cups after 6 months?
My question deals with nebulizer medicine cups. They say you have to throw them away after six months and replace them. I want to know why. I buy the Pari Star nebulizers and they are expensive. Why should I have to throw them away and replace them when there isn't a thing wrong with them? What is behind

Alternative to Pentamidine
I am currently on Ibrutinib for my SLL. I am allergic to Septrin so I am having Pentamidine by nebuliser every 4 weeks. I am just wondering if there may be another alternative ?

Uniphyllin?
Hello, I was started on uniphyllin 5 weeks ago, 200mg twice per day. I suffered with heart palpitations for the first few days, but have been fine since. I’m in hospital at the moment as I’ve not been well, my heart rate has been averaging around 105 bpm, however this morning my heart skipped a beat
