Nebuliser query
Hi there, I’ve just started using a nebuliser for my amikacin antibiotic. While using it I noticed it was going on a bit long. Once I checked I noticed the chamber had some foam build up, clearly I hadn’t rinsed it well enough. That has mixed with the antibiotic. Should I potentially worry about this

What next?
Hi all, Hope you are well in this COVID craziness. I have an appt with the Asthma clinic today. Ive has a terrible spring & summer; 5 rounds of steroids, using my nebuliser more than I ever have, averaging about 6-10 ventolin a week minimum. I tried uniphyllin but it made me horribly sick. My Oxygen

How to access help?
How do you get anyone to help you? 2 years I've been diagnosed. Absolutely no help from anyone. GP just gives me prednisone and Amoxicillin for exacerbations, no other help. Is this right? My quality of life has dropped significantly I can barely walk places yet GP says I should just ask for lifts places

Hi everybody, just reaching out to see if anyone has any information that may be of help to me. I was diagnosed with COPD in 2015 and have been managing fine till this year. I was put on the shielding list as I also have other co morbidities that according to NICE means my COPD is classed as severe.

In hospital for treatment of psudamonas
I just wanted to share my experience. I queried a couple of weeks ago about treatment for psudamonas in hospital, and had some helpful advice. I'm now nearly 5 days in. It was scary at first being admitted with covid around. But I've been so well looked after and shielded still. I have my own room even

Off topic - Monday oh WOW
My personal thank you to the NHS. Yesterday I needed help after meds prescribed in the morning for my RA and complications gave me a horrendous reaction. Had amoxicillin over many years when needed, so no qualms in taking it when my local GP said let’s do this for a week to make sure you are safe!

Here's help for Brochiectasis sufferers. I am finding that using a chest expander helps to loosen any obstructions in my 'trapped' lung. The expander has only one rubber cord. If the expander is too easy to use, simply tie a knot or two in the rubber chord. PS. A nebuliser arrives tomorrow.

Re NEBULIZER
I am having a Nebulizer for brochiectasis. I know that you breathe in through a mouthpiece. Do you exhale through the nose, or back through the mouth? Hence, it is in and out only through only the mouth?

What is wrong with me? Losing the will to live!
Hi guys, Writing this as I’m having a really tough time of it lately and am getting to the end of my tether. I’ve had asthma all my life, and as a child and in my teens it was severe. My childhood was basically spent in and out of hospital. I’m now 28 and for the past 15 years have had what I’d say
