Lacing my old comfy brouge shoes once again
The delight at not only having the inclination but also the energy and bloody mindedness to do this simple task has returned thanks to my daily does of prednisolone ( 10mg) .It has taken two weeks ( nearly) for my body to normalise this dose, my phlegm has disapated to a manageable amount, stress levels

Options for multiple severe asthma exacerbations
I am getting to my wits end and hoping for some good ideas from this great community. I suffer from severe asthma. In less than a year I have had 8 chest infections: 4 - required steroids 6 - required antibiotics 2 - were COVID like but were not, though I did receive codeine for 1 one of the flare-ups

Nebuliser Advice
Hi, looking for any recommendations for a home nebuliser. I’m an asthma sufferer, not chronic but bad enough. Ventolin inhalers work for the most part but where I live it’s a 80 mile trip to renew my inhaler, sometimes they are out of stock. I live outside the UK, Ventolin are available in the pharmacies

Fed up of my lungs... anyone wanna swap? 😉😂 (an ode to the last 6 months 😉)
Hey everyone - this is more a rant/decompression cause I’m fed up than anything else so feel free to ignore! And I know there are others out there a lot worse off than me 😅 (I’ve been there myself) I think it hit me harder mentally and I’m more fed up cause the issues have come after a period of good

At Home Nebulizer
Hi everyone, Just wondering how many people have, and use, an at home nebulizer? While it has certainly reduced my A&E visits, I feel like they may not realise how bad my asthma is. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Brochiectasis for years with lung drainage. Tonight I tried for 45 minutes but nothing happened. I guess it's trapped in my left lung. Any ideas what I should do? Very worrying. I use a nebuliser and tablets.

COPD
COPD My husband has been told he has COPD, the Dr. got him a nebulizer to use at home. Everytime he uses it, you can hear his start to wheeze, it's like it's giving him bronchitis. I never hear him wheeze, until he uses this nebulizer. Is this normal?

Nebuliser and looking a little grey after
Good morning everyone, my wife and daughter have commented to me on occasions that after I come of my nebuliser I can look a little blue/grey in the face for a while? It’s not all the time after use just some of the time. I am on 02 constantly while I taken my nebuliser also, my 02 setting in 4ltrs.

Bronchiectasis. A worrying time recently. I have been using a nebuliser and taking corbocisteine tablets for months now. It usually has been no problem. Lots of wheezing and clearing the sputum. But now it is not happening. Hardly anything moves even when I do my normal 45 minutes lung

How long between nebulisers?
Evening everyone. I’ve just used my salbutamol nebuliser for the first time. I also now have saline solution to use in the nebuliser. Does anyone know if there a minimum time to wait in between using salbutamol and saline solution?

Nebulised saline?....🤔🤞
Hi, just wondered what your thoughts are on nebulised saline to help with expelling mucus? I have a nebuliser for exacerbations but haven’t used it yet...bit nervous to try if I’m honest! I should do a practice run to test it! I try to drink copious amounts of water to keep my lungs hydrated & the mucus

Please help. I have severe brochiectasis and use a nebuliser and take carbostisteine tablets. I do 2 x 45 minutes a day lung clearance sessions, but the times are getting shorter. Does this mean the sputum is trapped or means something else?

Pride comes before a hospital stay
I've had lung disease for over 6 years. Bronchiectasis and bronchiolitis obliterans. My FEV1 = 30% , my resting oxygen 95 and my normal flow meter 240. I was proud of the fact that by being fanatical about taking my medication properly, as prescribed, eating mostly good food, doing easy exercises and
