Stomach Acid, B12 and Thyroid
Polaris posted an interesting link the other day which is getting missed. The article concerned was discussing stomach acid, b vitamins and thyroid. It was also discussing how PPIs block stomach acid production. Let's take this one step further - I don't produce stomach acid, I have low stomach acid

Chemo makes resistant cancer stem cells???
This would be quite an interesting paradigm shift from what I understood was the prime reason for therapy drug resistance. It is commonly assumed, in CLL/SLL, that clones are born with different degrees of resistance to drugs and lay in hiding only to emerge after therapy or a time lapse. Speculation

Natural Cures/Assistance & Help For Anxiety
There's a lot of people who come on here to vent and ask for assistance on coping with the overall symptoms of anxiety, which is obviously what's going to be the case as this is an anxiety support forum, however, why don't we share our knowledge of what we use to relieve our symptoms, without the use

Questions for endo appointment
I eventually have an appointment with an endo ( after pushing my gp for a quite a while). I have a complicated set of symptoms having been diagnosed with a myeloproliferative disorder (MPN) for which I take medication. Over the past 2 years regular blood tests for the MPN have shown fluctuating TSH

Help joining the dots please?
Hi there, I'm trying to understand what's going on with my health as I'm confused about root cause and my symptoms. Would really appreciate advice. I've always been healthy and no conditions or issues at all, but I have had a stressful year for numerous reasons, unwell at times with sinus infection

should I wait to see an endocrinologist?
I have been taking medication for an MPN ( high platelets) and about 2 years ago, it was observed that I had problems with fluctuating TSH levels. I reduced the medication by over 50% ( Interferon Alpha). I currently have some symptoms of hypothyroidism ( severe eyebrow loss, hair loss, weight gain

Where do I go from here?
Hi everyone. This is my first post and I'll try to keep it as brief as possible. After many years of poor health, I was diagnosed as hypothyroid in 1996, mainly due to the excellent work of Diana Holmes and I've been on 150mcg of thyroxine more or less ever since. In 1997 I saw Dr Skinner and he diagnosed

Musculosceletal pain even after TKI treatment
I thought that this might have relevance to those of us in the future who may be discontinuing ibrutinib. This article was about another TKI imatinib, but it is worth noting here since it seems to occur in 30% of patients: [i]Discontinuation of therapy is being explored in patients with chronic myelogenous
