Radiation for Graves..
Hi Diaagnosed in 2017 with graves after a 185 hear beat. I had the added bonus of atrial fibrillation which is my main enemy to this day. It is essentially ruining my life. Also diagnosed with celiac last year but that s okay..I avoid Gluten and everything is fine there. THE AFIB continues to be a problem

Worried about low platelets - do I have Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia? (CLL/SLL) When will I need treatment?
Bruising easily, cuts bleeding readily and taking a long time to stop, small, flat, pinhead sized red, purple or brown dots under the skin (petechiae) are all symptoms of a low platelet count. So when is a low platelet count potentially dangerous and what can be done? Firstly, having low platelets

CTA v MRA
Hi, I had an MRI and MRA with contrast last month as I was having neuro symptoms. I have a strong family history of brain bleeds. They sent me an appointment for a CTA saying they wanted to look at my carotids as there's a 1mm lesion they want to look at (found that out after I called to ask why they'd

New rationale for treatment
Wondered if anyone else is on this regimen? I received 3 injections of lucentis at monthly intervals with increasingly bad reactions. The last one caused burning that lasted 12 hours, followed by the gritty feeling ( worse than ever/ which didn't really ease up. After several days I rang the hospital

Holistic alternative to RAI or surgery?
Hello, this is my first post on this website. I have an overactive thyroid due to Graves' disease, and I am currently being treated with carbimazole for my second round of hyperthyroidism. My NHS consultant says that as it has come back my condition now needs to be treated permanently with RAI or surgery

Overactive Thyroid - recommendation for private Endo in Suffolk/Norfolk Please
I feel I need a second opinion on my treatment for Overactive Thyroid. I am reluctant to have RAI treatment as I have heard so many horror stories. And whilst I, at present, have a couple of niggling symptoms I do not feel ill. Can anyone recommend an Endocrinologist, with a private practice in Suffolk
