Treatment With Intramuscular Levothyroxine in Refractory Hypothyroidism
Given the regular appearance of patients who appear unable to tolerate levothyroxine, I thought this paper had the potential to be very interesting. And indeed the abstract is fascinating - as far as it goes. The full paper will be accessible in PubMed Central from 01/06/2020. [i]Eur Thyroid J, 8 (

Post circumcision care.
I am on my 5th day of post circumcision and I use hydrogen peroxide and iodine to clean the wound I also use BNT antibiotics cream to dress it and wrap it with grazes. However when I'm changing the dressing the grazes tends to stick to the wound and cause bleeding, is there any way I can prevent this

Post RAI have been on 75mcg Levo. Had DIO 2 test and am heterozygous. Have been on T3 for a week. Levo was reduced to 50mcg and told to take T3 10mcg twice daily and increase to 3x daily in a couple of weeks depending on how I feel. Vit D and iron were within normal range. Endo appt results
I don’t want to be negative but what a waste of time that appt was! I didn’t see the same Doctor as last time, they STILL didn’t have any details of my RAI treatment so we were still in the dark. He was a nice enough chap but the same answer to every question was very ambiguous so I’m none then wiser

Specific food cravings?
Does anyone have cravings for very specific foods or tastes since having PA? When I was much younger, I had a bad case of Graves Disease and craved salt, for the iodine content obviously. Lately, I have have had unusual cravings for eggs and grits. For my UK friends, grits are a mostly southern USA

Refusing RAI
I’m interested in hearing about people’s experience of refusing RAI. What doctors have said to convince them to undergo it, and how they have responded to being challenged.

TPO and TG thyroid antibodies & anti depressants
Good health to all in 2020! Could someone please explain why it is important to have TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested? I finally found a decent endo. who accepts that more than TSH needs to be tested. Only he doesn’t think it necessary to check TPO & TG. He explained why at the end of a long
