I am interested to know ok, as a Graves’ disease patient post radioactive iodine. Or partial thyroidectomy have you had experiences after flying? Do you have reactions ?

No you don't have reactions but you can set the machinery off at security! If you go through the scanner your neck area can show up as a hot spot.

So I did set the machinery off, but to be honest this was about four years after radioactive iodine treatment, it was probably more to do with my outfit, a lot of spikes etc I was going for an audition, the trip there was fine, but I flew back three hours later , and was asleep , but woke up feeling dreadful, I had an ecg a day later , it was not normal, I was just interested anyway

I didn't have any reaction to flying.

I didn't make the security alarms go off at departure airport but I did have immigration officers alarms attached to there belt go off when I arrived in USA, even ones that were not close to me. I had RAI not long before I travelled but as long as you have your paperwork that they give you at hospital you will be fine.
