What is the prognosis for someone with Graves’ disease?
Hi All, I have some questions about the prognosis for someone with Graves’ disease. How would Graves’ disease likely progress if solely treated using anti-thyroid medication such as Carbimazole? This is the route I am taking. I know it’s an autoimmune disease so there will be flareups and periods

Awful night sweats: hyper, hypo, other - update
Hi. 13 days ago I posted about horrid night sweats https://healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk/posts/149807088/awful-night-sweats-hyper-hypo-other The correct name is generalised hyperhidrosis as the sweats are all over, not just palms, armpits, etc. Back particularly sweaty. This has continued and is affecting

Iodine?
I am very concerned for my fiancé who seems to be aging in front of my eyes. He is always cold, his hair is falling out, he is gaunt, and his memory has diminished, he will be 60 in a few months. I watched a video last night with Richard Vobes and Clive de Carle a Nutritionist, he talked about iodine

Looming Endo Appointment
I had RAI in 1998 and been on Levo since 1999. Last time I saw an endocrinologist was in 99. Been on 200 initially, reduced to 175, then 150 which made me feel absolutely awful, so increased to 162.5 and feel absolutely fine. Doc stated I was overactive on this, suggested m that I reduce to 125 and we

Like everyone, I'm trying desperately to get my antibodies at an optimal range. I currently take 75 mcg of Tirosint and also something called T-150 by Xymogen, which my functional doc prescribed. Hi everyone, has anyone had a CT coronary angiogram with iodine contrast dye injected? How did you tolerate the iodine contrast with your thyroid condition? Any side effects? Thanks

is iodine in almond milk a problem
I’m sorry if I’m making too many posts here. I’m happy to be redirected if better. I just noticed that my almond milk says it contains iodine. Does this mean I should avoid it? I’m just trying to have a life detox of all things bad for thyroid.

Graves disease and RAI
Hi I was diagnosed with Graves disease 16 months ago. I have been on carbimazole on reducing doses and T levels were almost normal but then went up. So I am now on 15mg per day. Comments On Blood Test Results Please
I don't post very often but I read a lot on here, and after having a Blue Horizon full thyroid blood test, I would be interested in the thoughts of anyone on what came out of it. I had radioactive iodine some years ago and am on levothyroxine (100mg). My results from the GP always come back as 'normal

Could someone help advise what these skin growths/bumps would be? This might be quite long but any help would be great! :)
I've had more visits to the GP, and have been given various creams to try - Aciclovir 5%
cream
,
Timodine
cream
and Hydrocortisone acetate -
none
of these have worked.

Asking for advice following RAI
My MIL, bless her had an RAI several years ago due to hyperthyroidism. I often wonder if they got it right as she never fitted the profile for overactive. I know she's always struggled with weight gain and if anything I would have said she was more hypo than hyper. Several years later she's never been
