Tibolone

For the first time I have been put on Zoladex and Tibolone prior to surgery, I'm in my 3rd-4th month now and have experienced heavy bleeding with clots and horrible side effects for the full 3-4 months. Due to nobody getting back to me, lost paperwork, no communication..

I’m in surgical menopause and been prescribed Tibolone and started suffering with severe headaches. Do these subside after a while? The headaches make me feel really sick too and I can’t talk.

My second round of Prostap along with Tibolone has been for 9-10 months now. My first round was for 6 months then I had a year off in between. First time around I felt great. This time, not so great!

The surgeon put me on tibolone hrt but it didn’t work great so have now the menopause clinic has put me in oestrogen gel and progesterone tablets but I’m getting pelvic pain back. Do u think I should swap back to the tibolone as I don’t want the endo pain back.

Hi i had a full hysterectomy about two yrs ago, went onto Tibilone HRT, the pain got progressively worse, so my gp said stop taking the HRT for a while to see if pain reduces. I'm 42 and having a total hysterectomy in April and about to start prostrap with tibolone. 4 surgeries so far, last was in April and diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis, now with many bladder complications and suspected thoracic involvement but nothing being doing for lung and bladder issues.

They started me on Tibolone and it was great at first. My memory is terrible, I’m having these horrid episodes where I can’t think straight/concentrate. My moods are so up & down & I’m exhausted. I’m warm but not having hot flushes.

The endo and HRT have caused me to become so depressed but i'm now on sertreline and have stopped taking the tibolone, but i can't be put on an estrogen patch because it could cause me to stroke. I'm in pain every single day and bleeding 90% of the month.

I would like to hear if anyone is or has taken Tibolone HRT tablets and what your symptoms are or were. I'm about to go on them and am having second thoughts about taking them. The last lot of HRT that I took brought back my endo, so will taking these new HRT make the endo flare up even more?

I have had non stop bleeding whilst on zoladex and Tibolone for 3 months. My doctor has now swapped Tibolone to Femoston-conti but reading up on it says DO NOT take if you have undiagnosed vaginal bleeding ... which I have!

I finally got referred to gynae 4 months ago and they started zoladex and tibolone. I am about to have my fourth zoladex injection but I have been bleeding every single day for the whole 3 months that I have been on zoladex!!!! I’m exhausted.

Would appreciate any ladies sharing their experiences with Zoladex and Tibolone. Just started my 6month plan with this, I appreciate everyone is different and symptoms can really vary. Any info is useful. Thanks

Depression and wondered if I am going through the “real” menopause. How will I know if I am forever in a “surgical” menopause? How will I know when to stop taking it and what will happen? Advice please.

And tibolone?

I having terrible headaches and joint pain on tibolone tablets , tablets do not agree with at all . I trying to see if the effect will go away after another month or so ?? Thanks

Having been on Livial for many years with great results I was given generic tibolone some months back and wonder if this could be the reason for return of some symptoms particularly lack of energy and depression types symptoms?

He alarmingly told me that this was an early warning sign of stroke and I have been told to stop taking Tibolone. My next Prostap injection is due next week. My mood is very low because of not taking HRT any more.

Had laparoscopy, went on Prostap and tibolone for 6 months afterwards. Things were fine afterwards but the pain gradually got worse and I went back on the injection in June this year. Went to see my gynaecologist in July who sent me for an ultrasound.

A week ago I finished my 4 month treatment of prostap injections which were topped up by daily tibolone tablets after experiencing horrendous side effects in the first month.
