Mounjaro for weight gain after thyroidectomy
He said some weight gain is common, but not alot, which I disagree with as I know many women who have gained 40+ pounds after a
thyroidectomy
. I asked my GP about mounjaro and she thinks it could be really helpful to kick start some weight loss after this.

Totally confused
I had a partial
thyroidectomy
about 2010. My thyroid levels were fine for several years but then started dropping into hypothyroidism range. I was put on Levothyroxine at 50mg and was ok for few years. Tested Jan 2023 was ok.

Fine needle aspiration 🤔
He also noted I was very thyrotoxicosis as my T3, T4 were very high before
thyroidectomy
my antibodies were extremely high and on my scan it took up in both lobs which requires full
thyroidectomy
, which I had in 2019.

Total thyroidectomy, remnants and euthroyx.
The surgeon who performed my total
thyroidectomy
says the remnants won't make a difference on my blood results. Any advise on whether to up my meds or not as I feel so despondent at the moment. Thank you

Lost newbie
I had a total

TSH level increase after total thyroidectomy(8 years ago)
I had a total
thyroidectomy
8 years ago due to papillary carcinoma. Recently, I had a knee surgery and during a subsequent blood test, my TSH level was checked and found to be 4.5. However, I had taken my medication (euthyrox 150mg) on the morning of this blood test.

I'm hypothyroid...is this an ok time to do Regenerus Cortisol Saliva Test?
Here is some background info: I had
thyroidectomy
1992 8 weeks ago thyroid test results were shocking! TSH 11.9-------T4 at bottom of range-----T 3 tad in range. Hence levo was increased from 50mcg alternative days, to 50mcg daily. Been on 50 levo daily for 8 weeks now and done retest today.

Graves and Carbimazole update
What concerned me was his statement that if remission had not been achieved and in 3 months levels are creeping out of range again that the only solution would then be
thyroidectomy
or RAI ablation.

Has anyone whose tried T3 and NDT felt better on just T4?
A little bit of history -
thyroidectomy
aged 21. More or less fine on just T4 for 20 plus years. I then saw an Endo about parathyroid issues in 2018 at which point he suggested ERFA because he felt lots of my symptoms were related to my thyroid and T3 conversion.

I had a

I tried natural remedies but they mess up my vocal cord (I got one which is paralysed as a result of the
thyroidectomy
and whilst I can talk more or less as a normal person, it is by putting a lot of strain on the healthy one so anything with lemon or vinegar is a no-no.

Can change in my levothyroxin tablet product or dose cause me dizziness, internal heat, feeling sick and missing my steps on the stairs.
I had my total
thyroidectomy
done and was fine on 100mcg of levothyroxin for 4 years. Later, I have to change my levothyroxin product because it was unavailable in the area I moved to in the UK. I immediately started having motion sickness in the car with the new product.
