How do I request these blood tests if they don't show on the form
After a partial
thyroidectomy
on Monday I have been requested to get bloods redone on 14th August so 2 weeks after the operation. As consultant had only selected TSH and T4 I asked if, as my insurance company were paying I could have more tests done.

Thyroidectomy advice/stories?
I have discussed it with my Endo and I am going to have a
thyroidectomy
after I get married in Spring time next year before I start trying for a family. Does anyone have any advice? I hope I am doing the right thing. :)

Anyone else become sensitive to side effects of medicines after thyroidectomy?
Has anyone else had a partial or total
thyroidectomy
and found they've become very reactive to side effects of medicines? This includes changes to Levothyroxine but other drugs too. In particular joint and muscle pain as a side effect.

Primary or acquired hypothyroidism
As I have had a complete
thyroidectomy
I thought I had Primary Hypothyroidism. My GP has (finally) referred me to an NHS end and said I have acquired hypothyroid. Is this correct.

NDT update 1, also weight query
I also weighed myself on Friday and I was 11 stone 13lb (I'm 5ft 8 and before my
thyroidectomy
I was always 10st 10lb), I've just weighed myself now and after 3 days I've lost 5 pound, something I have struggled to do since my op. Is this normal for weight loss to happen so fast?

In June it was decided after the carbimazole affecting my liver I should have RAI or

. I decided to go for RAI and came off my medication the week before as instructed.

What can I expect after surgery
I am having a right 3rd
thyroidectomy
on .Monday and I am slightly freaking out on how rough I am going to feel afterwards. I have had loads of operations due to a botched epidural which damaged discs in my spine but I've never had a throat operation before.

Chronic fatigue
I had a full
thyroidectomy
due to cancer in May 2017 ( 10ish weeks ago). Since then my dosage went from 100 to 112 to 125mcg of levothyroxine. I've been taking 125mcg for about 3 weeks. My levels haven't been tested since switching to the 125.

Magnesium
I have been type 1 on insulin for 40 years and hypothyroid for two and a half after a
thyroidectomy
. I am currently on large doses of Vit D for my deficiency at 25000iu twice a week. I see on here K2 is recommended when taking D3 and this also seems to link to magnesium.

Hyperthyroidism, having full thyroidectomy in 3 weeks, panicking about afterwards!
I have 5 children, 2 under 2 years old and so the radiation therapy is not a go for me as I cannot be anywhere near children for 2 weeks and as my levels have been so uncontrolled the surgeon and consultant both think this may not work for me so have opted for a full
thyroidectomy
.

Feeling exhausted!
On 7th July this year, I had a left-sided partial
thyroidectomy
because there was a cyst growing inside and getting bigger. It was first discovered by my GP in March 2016 and after a scan was found to be benign. However, it got bigger and was advised that I would need this operation.

blood test results finally
I am having surgery on Monday to remove the goitre and check to see if it is cancerous but they say that none of my symptoms will change after having the partial
thyroidectomy
which I think seems ridiculous, why on earth did I suddenly get a goiter in the first place then and why do I feel so unwell,
