Amiodarone and thyroid
Hello, Q for those on Amiodarone. My thyroid has gone from bad to worse and now my gp wants to see me. I’m guessing to put me on more medications. To those on thyroid meds, will I lose this thyroid weight I’ve gained? Tia 🫶

ATA Virtual Patient Forum: International Thyroid Awareness Week - Wednesday, May 29, 2024, 8pm - 9:15pm EDT
In case anyone is interested, registration appears to be open - both in they are accepting registrations AND it is open to the public. It would be interesting to find out about how useful it is. The time makes it somewhat awkward for many in the UK. I think it works out to be 01:00 in the morning

Help needed
We on Thyroid U.K. are desperately trying to get just 56 signatures to reach the 10000 needed for this petition to get the attention it needs. It is for a very good cause so if you or anyone you know has thyroid problems could you please sign it. Getting the 10,000 signatures would be an amazing Christmas

overactive thyroid but no Graves’ disease
Hi all, I’m so confused… I was Diagnosed as sub clinical hyperthyroidism December 2022 then in may 2023 hyperthyroidism. Negative for Graves’ disease. Started carbimazole in July 2023 on 20mg per day, gradually reduced down to 5mg every other day and then stopped in February 2024. Consultant said

Half a Thyroid better than none?
I have had Long Covid since March 2020. Investigations showed the right half of my Thyroid was enlarged. I was told all thyroid indicators were fine and that my disabling LC symptoms had nothing to do with my thyroid. Eventually, four years later the stars aligned for me to have an operation. That was

Hi, I posted a few days ago asking for advice after having had results back from blood tests and struggling to see my GP. Well, I finally saw her today. enlarged thyroid
Hello, I’ve posted confusing information about my thyroid labs in the past but this post has to do with the size of my thyroid which is more definitive. I also have multiple thyroid nodules as well. My thyroid itself does not protrude out as one would expect with the size of each lobe. To make this
