Thyroid function tests
Hi all, The GP has printed off a form for me to take to the hospital tomorrow to check my TSH levels. I’ve noticed on the form it says, ‘thyroid function tests’. Does this include T3 and T4? I know last time I only had a result for TSH. If so, do I need to fast? My test isn’t until 4pm.

thyroid function test results antibodies not tested
The most recent
thyroid

taken today 13 March 2023 showed Free T4 at 20.9 and TSH at 0.19. Antibodies were not tested Does anyone know what this change in Thyroid levels means and will I still be given the Levothyroxine? I don’t want to go back to feeling ill all the time.

Subclinical hypothyroid, Levothyroxine did not agree, anyone else felt like this? Do the side effects eventually go away? Should I try again
I have just sent away an Advanced
Thyroid
Function
test
for hormones, antibodies, vitamins and minerals. I'm going to see a reflexologist and a nutritionalist. The GP is doing more blood tests tomorrow. I am concerned about Hashimotos, Lupus, Perimenopause.

Selenium Transport Impairment - A Novel Form of Hypothyroidism
I believe this study is important because it's yet another form of hypothyroidism that isn't due to reduced thyroidal secretion, and can't be detected by a
thyroid
function
test
. About 6% of people with Hashimoto's have elevated antibodies. It presents with low urine iodine.

results in patients with GD should be checked for biotin intake, immunoassays and the limiting concentration of biotin to avoid misdiagnosis of relapse.

Hi I'm looking to try to get to the bottom of my problem(s). I had typical low b12 symptoms for many years, got very sick. I started b12 SI in mid Feb and had a really good response after about 10 days, best I've been for years. Last 2-3 weeks have seen a lot of the symptoms return, along with insatiable
