My employer isn't acknowledging my pregnancy
I advised my employer when I was starting my IVF journey, I also advised them officially when I turned 12 weeks. I had requested a risk assessment on several occasions as it states in our company handbook that this must be done at the earliest possible time - This was finally conducted when I turned

IVF at 29 years old
A lot of people often tell me that I am young and time is on my side. At 18 I felt something was not right with my body (periods were prolonged and painful, fluctuating weight) and I seem to have a phantom issue as nothing has been found wrong yet. At 27 years old I had 8MC's last one in 2017. Since

Egg collection advice
Hello all, Just wanted to post to see if anyone’s gone through a similar thing. I’m due for endo surgery on the nhs on Thursday (which happens to also be my 33rd bday) for removal of any blocked tubes. I have stage 4 endo and for years it was just in my bowel but it’s now moved to my left tube (not

Frustrated, changing protocols due to no meds and clinic communication
I started this journey back in June 2022. t's been delay after delay with my fertility clinic. First it was my rubella vaccination then it's Christmas and now changing from flare to antagonist protocol. Had my scan this morning, have to go back again tomorrow as lining too thick and this time only

Meningioma and IVF
Would love to hear from anyone who has been through IVF with an inoperable meningioma. There is some debate between consultants about how the high dose of hormones could encourage growth in my (so far) dormant meningioma. It’s close to my optic nerve, so causes severe migraines and blurred vision when

Hi all, I'm new here and I don't usually post online but I've been feeling quite overwhelmed so thought some support from others in a similar situation might help! We did our first round of IVF by ICSI in early 2020 and today we have a gorgeous 2 year old who is the absolute joy of both our lives. We've

Advice on implanting 2 embryos!?!
hi All, just wanted some advice, after a failed 2nd round of ivf fresh transfer we luckily managed to freeze two embryos! the dr told us we could implant 2 as they were on day 6 but I’m just not sure what to do. The chances are the same the only difference is you could end up with twins? Also this

First IVF cycle this week
Hi all, I’m due to start my first ever round of mild IVF this week, I’m trying not to think about it too much and trying to go into it with an open mind. I wanted to ask if there were any do’s and don’t’s that I should be aware of before I go into this. Sending you lots of love and baby dust x

Covid during pregnancy
I’ve just found out I’m 5 weeks pregnant after 3 years of trying, 2 years under clinic for infertility and 3 rounds of IVF/ICSI and 4 days after my positive preg test I’ve tested positive for Covid. I spoke to emergency midwife at hospital last night who said Covid can’t affect the embryo and to rest

miracles can happen!
just wanted to share a good news post to hopefully give some of you hope, I have often turned to this forum for reassurance and hope myself over the past 18 months along my IVF journey. Having tried naturally for 18 months and then having 3 unsuccessful rounds of IVF/ICSI in which 5 embryos were transferred

Hi there. Wanted to intro myself. I've just started IVF. I am 43 and have AMH of 1.7 which I was told was low. My partner and I have finally started our journey. I've just started taking Fostimon and spent so long feeling anxious and scared about the injections. I did my first injection on Thursday and

When to consider IVF?
We’ve been TTC for just over a year and the NHS has confirmed they won’t fund IVF for us at this stage as they consider our case to be ‘unexplained’, though my husband has low morphology (3%). In our area we would have to wait until 3 years of trying to be eligible for IVF on the NHS. We are therefore

Getting rid of unneeded medication?
Hello, Someone asked recently about getting rid of unneeded medication but I can't find the post. I have lots of Ovaleap stuff left from when we tried IVF with my eggs, but now we're going forward with donor eggs so I won't need it and it's taking up space in our fridge! I remember someone said we can't

Feeling depressed after EC
Hi everyone. This is my first round of ivf so I’ve found this forum so useful. I had my EC just under a week ago and a good number of eggs were collected and I’ve ended up with 2 good and 1 medium quality embryos. I’m 40 and I know I’m really lucky for this. I was unable to have a fresh transfer because

Trisomy 22 - POC result. Anybody been in same boat but eventually succeeded? Plz share
Hi ladies So my 4th MC POC was tested and result came back with trisomy 22. No ivf yet. My heart aches to read that it was defective. Good stories always make me feel positive and give me belief that I can carry on. Has anybody in this circle had same issue but eventually succeeded. Did you do
