Hi all, I’m due to start my first ever round of mild IVF this week, I’m trying not to think about it too much and trying to go into it with an open mind.
I wanted to ask if there were any do’s and don’t’s that I should be aware of before I go into this. Sending you lots of love and baby dust x

I don’t have any dos or donts, but I am starting my first round too just waiting for my cycle to start! (Which is typically late 🥹) - lots of good luck to you 🥰
Going for daily walks. Just took it easier towards the end of the stimulation drugs.
Try be critical if you use Google - it can be a rabbit hole and everyone can put anything on the net.
Take a few minutes to stop and take deep breaths - just focus on your breathing and how your body feels for a few minutes (especially if you feel overwhelmed with it all)
Try not to look too far ahead - take one step at a time.
Using this forum and my clinic for support/questions - did help me I found.
I did not have any hot baths during this whole process as had read you shouldn’t in early pregnancy - so just decided to avoid it and stuck to showers and other home comforts for mindfulness 😇
Jigsaw/paint by numbers/ good books/journaling - if you need to take your mind off things a little.
I just wanted to wish you all the best!! It is scary, but also very exciting at the same time! 🧡
Hi, I just wanted to say this is a lovely post. I'm just on the birth control pill right now to quiet my ovaries before I start my first ever IVF cycle too. I really appreciate such a clear set of tips. Thank you! ❤️🤞🏻✨
Good luck Pizza19 🤗. I'm also starting my first IVF/isic cycle, actually heading for my first this morning and hopefully we can start taking the injections. Infections worry me a bit but will just have to do it. Happy to stay in touch over the next steps... Please PM me 😀
I'm hoping do my first cylce this cycle....I've had 2 scans and not started the meds yet as my folicles are the lowest that we've ever tested. So I would say an open mind is crucial. I'm seeing it as a first little bump of a long journey to come, building my strength and keeping the faith and hope that things always change and it's ok. I'll try to keep in touch here. Need all the support I can get! Lots of Love warrior women xxx
