Need advice on clinical trial RO7656594
I have updated our profile, but in a nutshell we've gone through abiraterone, Xtandi, docetaxel, Pluvicto , cabazitaxel and carboplatin. My husband's most recent PSA on 4/12 was 79.52. His MO has put a hold on chemo our last 3 appointments due to pancytopenia. He's received 2 blood transfusions on his

The struggle is over for my husband at 64
My beautiful husband succumbed to complications from prostate cancer this morning at 4:21 AM. If you look at our profile, we tried everything and finally I gave him some testosterone gel during his last week on earth. It’s impossible to tell whether it made a difference, but I do believe that denying

Update to a previous post I had about ultrasound and CT not being able to detect if it's a fibroid or a mass.
So this is what I had wrote a few days ago: [i]
I (post-menopausal 52 y/o) went in to urgent care about a month ago with stomach pains. Doctor thought it was a ruptured appendix, but sent me for a CT scan to verify. Turns out it was diverticulitis, but on the CT scan they noticed a a complex cyst

Should I Add Docetaxel to Lupron and Zytiga?
I have been on Lupron and Abiraterone for most of my almost 12 years of treatment. Triplet therapy was not SOC when I was first dx'd. I am just wondering why, Docetaxel isn't routinely added to those of us who started on doublet therapy before we become resistant to the doublet therapy. My guess is that

Gamma Delta CAR T for Bone Metastatic Prostate Cancer: first trial at Moffit
Another trial of something that targets bone metastasis, and works even better if you are under zolendronate . "Most importantly, gamma delta T cells are unique in that they are most efficient when combined with a drug (zoledronate) that is commonly used to protect the bone in patients with bone metastatic

Clinical trial update
Trial Drugs: Inavolisib and Giredestrant. Today was my second set of scans (every 8 weeks) and the results of the chest CT and Bone scans were great, nothing new, all stable and NED in lungs. The abdomen CT showed slight increase in the size of my liver lesions. I am ER+, HER2 low +1, PR-, AR+, with

Side effects from Xtandi monotherapy?
after failing multiple times on regular ADT plus SBRT and finally failing LU– 177 and Provenge, my PSA went on the rise again. I’ve been on mono Xtando for six weeks and not feeling well despite trying to exercise heavily. Going in for bloodwork tomorrow. What kind of labs should I ask for? Anyone

What is Your Opinion on Docetaxel Added to Doublet Therapy for Early Oligorecurrent Metaststic M1a Prostate Cancer?
Hello, I have touched on this subject before, but it is something that is nagging at me and giving me some sleepless nights. My husband’s bio is updated for reference. At one year post prostatectomy with Stage 3b, he rose from 0.06 to 0.273 in three mos. At psa of 0.16 , a PSMA scan showed three sub

Opinions on my 2nd MRI results
Hello, I just received the results from 2nd MRI (results below and photos in reply), previous one was from Jan/2023 (results in bio). Having been on these forums for almost two years now, and in AS at UCLA, I highly value the opinion of those here that have similar experiences to my situation. Questions

Iodine and Povidone - A Chemistry Lesson
Over the years, we have seen many mentions of povidone-iodine. This video is the first time I have ever come across a proper explanation as to why povidone-iodine is chosen! It then continues with its aim of extracting pure iodine from povidone-iodine. The video could be very boring if you are

When is PARP introduced?
Hi My husband is currently on triple therapy ( Docetaxel chemo , Zoladex every 3 months and nubeqa) he has one more chemo round left next week. He is responding well so far as PSA is declining ( see profile for PSA) . I have seen some men are talking a PARP inhibitor and nubeqa and zoladex ( or ADT

I then went on to Olaparib, initially

stopping Abiratrerone
I was diagnosed with PC in Jan 2001 with Gleason of 4+ and a PSA that never got above 10. From a PSMA scan, I have bone metasteses in skull, ribs, backbone, hips, pelvic bone. WE believe that in my case PSA has never been a very useful measure. I have been taking Abiraterone, Prostap and prednisolone
