Prostate Cancer Research is determined to provide a better future for people affected by prostate cancer by working towards new breakthrough treatments. As we scale up our work for the patients who need us, we strive to ensure we are keeping the real needs of patients at the heart of all we do. To this end, we are running several virtual focus groups by Zoom on Tuesday, 23 April, and Wednesday, 1 May, where we will ask small groups of patients about their experiences of prostate cancer in a safe and facilitated environment. Sessions will last approximately 90 minutes, and if you are selected to participate, you will be compensated $120 for your time.
I am interested. I don’t think there’s enough published on a regular basis about the surveillance of this disease. I also have a bitter story to tell about how close I was to walking away from this thing, and how through my own stupidity, I did not. The story needs to be told.; there’s a lot of men who get into deep trouble with this disease, because all they see are the horror stories and they do nothing by paralysis; they roll the dice and lose big. So that’s the group that I want to reach. So I’m interested.
