Update on appointment re Low TSH
The Endo was very compassionate and understanding, spent a long time with me (35minutes +) going through absolutely everything, listened to all the information I had ( thank you team!) and everything I wanted to ask etc. Initially she suggested lowering my Levothyroxine (no surprise there), but agreed

Suppressed tsh 0.03 on Liothyronine, is this as much of a worry as consultant says please?
Bit of a long story sorry but I just need a moan with others who undestand. I restarted Liothyronine Jan 23 on nhs but my consultant will not endorse any increase whatsoever. I am just so tired most days it hurts, can't shift my weight unless I starve and unfortunately I don't sleep well so that doesn't

Why is my TSH so low when my T4 T3 are so low?
Hi all can some please explain why my TSH is low despite my T4 T3 being low. Correct me if i have got it wrong but i have come to understand that TSH is released by the pituitary gland to stimulate release of more thyroid hormones if levlels are too low. Since 1993 i dont have a thyroid so i am on

Irregular heartbeat after Levo change
Hi all. I've had a regimen change in the past 3 weeks to alternate 150mcg and 100mcg of levothyroxine on alternate days to get an average of 125mcg over the course of a fortnight. It's like this because I'm on the Accord brand and they don't do a 25mcg dose. Previously, every time I got a different brand

Goitrogens
I've just discovered that there is a group of foods called Goitrogens. Every day I have a berry and Kale smoothy - thinking myself to be very healthy. Now I find out that large amounts of uncooked berries and Kale can cause hypothyroidism and restrict the beneficial effects of Levothyroxine and T3.

Carbimazole
Hi my daughter was diagnosed with graves, doctor put her on carbimazole. She started taking carbimazole and after a few months I can hardly recognise her Her eyes look unfocused and dull and her entire face seems to have sagged drastically. breathless when hypothyroid?
I am currently “dysthyroid” as my gp puts it. Briefly - diagnosed with hypothyroid disease in 2016 (all antibodies negative). Since starting transdermal hrt in Jan my thyroid levels hv plummeted (result posted recently but roughly T4 7.2 (11-22) and T3 2 (3.2-6.8). These results are from when I was taking

feeling really down
I’m looking for some help with feeling very down and fed up. I noticed my mood dropping from the start of this year and I don’t seem to be able to pick it back up. I’m thinking of starting some antidepressants but not sure how they will work along side my 75mg levothyroxine. I’m a Hashimotos sufferer

Levo with someprazole and bisoprolol
Is there any reason why I cannot take Levothyroxine at the same time as esomesprazole and Bisoprolol? I KNOW Levo should be taken an hour before anything else but just want to know if anything in these other meds would prevent thyroxine uptake. Thank you.

Calcium and Levothyroxine
I've heard that I must not have any Calcium intake four hours before and after taking Levothyroxine, as the calcium absorbs the drug, lessening its effectiveness. Has anybody else heard of this?

Low TSH
I had a phone call on Friday asking me to come to an Endo appointment this Monday - unusual! It is a year since my last appointment but I suspect my endo has taken fright at my low TSH and will want to discuss stopping my prescription. My latest results were TSH 0.02 (0.35-4.94) Ft4 11.4 (9-19.1)

Hi, anyone got any tips on things I could introduce into my diet as the Levothyroxine seems like a waste of time. Also have mentioned what I believe are possible side effects but my doctor is not that interested just said keep taking it, tia.

Totally confused
I had a partial thyroidectomy about 2010. My thyroid levels were fine for several years but then started dropping into hypothyroidism range. I was put on Levothyroxine at 50mg and was ok for few years. Tested Jan 2023 was ok. Tested early Feb 2024 and was hyper not hypo so my gp reduced the levothyroxine
