Has anyone experienced osteonecrosis of the hip?
Hello, friends! Due to several rounds of prednisone over the last 8 years and numerous injections in joints including the hip, I believe I have developed osteonecrosis of my left hip. Some days it is so painful that I can't put weight on it. Some days I have to walk with a limp. And other days, it

PMR Trigger?
The next day the pain worsened and I assumed
tendonitis
. After 3 days the pain and stiffness had spread to my hips and hamstrings, I was like the tinman from the W of Oz. My doctor correctly diagnosed PMR and prescribed 15 mg dose of Pred whichhad amiraculous effect.

The Achilles isn’t getting any better and after having
Tendonitis
in it a few years ago and not being able to run for 3 months, I am not going down that road again. I have decided to stop before it becomes chronic.

DR Visit #2 This Week
Yesterday my neuro & today my ortho. The Dr said I could quit wearing the splint. He gave me exercises to do with a hammer & the kitchen sink. Sounded crazy to me too even for Arkansas! I have to hold a hammer in my hand and twist it back and forth, as I gain strength I have to move my hand down

Painful and swollen hand
I have no other issues other than PMR and the swelling in my hand has been confirmed to be
tendonitis
by the rheumy through an ultrasound. Xrays found no arthritis/ no bone issues.

W7R3 -- I'm a convert now.
At this point I'm glad I got
tendonitis
and had to take a break from jumping rope -- otherwise I never would have begrudgingly started C25K. And now I love it! My
tendonitis
is slowly improving, but even after I can go back to my ropes, I'm not going to stop jogging. This is just too much fun.

Inverse psoriasis & arthritis?
I have bad back pain from top to bottom, I can't stand up straight, and pain in my toes and ankles, including what was diagnosed as
tendonitis
, which I've had for more than 5 years, non-stop. I wear orthotics, which help a bit, but basically everything hurts.

Patella tendonitis
Physio diagnosed patella tendinitis in both knees 2 weeks ago. Given lots of strength exercises told I could continue running, but I stopped last week as not improving. Doing loads of the exercises plus brufen. Basically is there any hope out there that it will resolve and I can run again? Thx 🏃

PMR the Chimera (as in Greek Mythology)
Rheumy says extensor
tendonitis
and the podiatrist says no. Anyway stuck with them. If I don't walk they are super stiff and if I walk too much they are super painful and stiff. All I know is you gotto keep moving as you age. Anyway lately I have felt aching and sore.

Week 7 Run 1
I had
tendonitis
in it a few years back so do not want a repeat of that. Slightly frustrating as I have a 10k race this Sunday but remaining hopeful.

Week 5 run 2 done :)
Did week 5 run 2 this morning, all going really well so far, had the odd achy knee and hint of ankle twinge (old injuries/
tendonitis
) during last week's runs, but it has gone away pretty quickly and seems to be no ongoing issue, this week has been fine.

Teeth & RA
Just read someones post and lost it but saw this the other day. New research suggests that tooth loss – a marker for periodontal (gum) disease – may predict rheumatoid arthritis and its severity. The more teeth lost, the greater the risk of RA, one study found. RA and Gum Disease | Periodontitis - Arthritis

Do you know this syndrome? Ascher's syndrome: clinical findings of little known triad
To answer the question, no I don't. At least, I didn't. Worth checking the full paper, if you are at all interested.

I home!
Had an interesting visit with my neuro! As we actually talked about 'George" or this 10 cm x 8cm x 2cm thing in my brain. It's actually longer than that, and my understanding is, it's connecting the 2 cerebrums in the back of my head. So, basically, my left and right rely on this. 😒 Well, this is interesting

stepping up
These include
tendonitis
, ITB issues, general weakness & sore knees. So I've upped my step rate to 170spm and although i'm a bit slower now (but getting quicker) all those pain issues are going away. It's all about how my foot strikes the ground and the angle o the knee joint when it does so.

Passions (none-AF post)
...not those kind of passions ;) I was wondering, we have such a mass of people here of different ages areas and backgrounds.. what people's passions are? Something you love to do, something that chills you out or you absolutely love to do. Even if you can't do it as much as you used to, you miss it,

I did it!
Happy Monday everyone! Thank you so much for your encouragements as I was dreading a little starting off week 4. Well, I did it! It was hard and I did think of stopping a few times but did not. I can't believe I ran 16 minutes and did more running than walking. It's interesting too to notice what
