Not been in for a while. Got to week 8 and caught the flu so rested up then discovered a lump on my Achilles and after some research discovered i have achilles tendinitis. I am devastated, dont know what to do as gaining weight again and feel really low.

When you say research, do you mean Dr Google ? If so, get yourself to a real doctor : )

I have had lumps on and off over the years, they go away if you treat/manage them.

I would seek some professional help if you haven't already.

As much as I love Dr Google, as backintime says, if you have been to see a doctor about this then please make an appointment as soon as you can, you may be worrying about nothing and you still may be able to run.

Get this checked out by a sports physio...Dr google is dangerous and we are no experts either..

It could be over use, but there are exercises which your physio will give you if they are appropriate... go and get a diagnosis first... the runs will wait... and in the meantime.. head to S and F forum for some great exercises you can do whilst not running!

Re search is never a good idea for any lumps. See real Dr / Physio quickly, they've more experience and training than Google, and can give you the correct exercise to do. Good luck and hopefully you will be back very soon.
