First time I have started a post
I was diagnosed with PAF about 7 years ago. I am taking Rivoraxaban, Bisoprolol 2.5mg twice a day and Felodipine 5mg. In the main I am managing my AF reasonably well. I have been offered an ablation, but refused on the basis that I don’t think that I am symptomatic enough for such a drastic procedure

Blood pressure medication.
I know that a lot of people will probably have high blood pressure due to copd or the meds. We have to take. I was given amlodipine. It worked to bring pressure down. But after a few months. I ended up with sore stomach, nausea and no appetite. It is getting worse to the point I couldn't cope yesterday

Bypass surgery burning, nausea from Amiodarone
My mother had double bypass for AFIB in May 2018. Her surgery was successful but not with some complications. She had two ablations done prior to the bypass. Both being on 4/7/2017 and 11/13/2017. The first ablation procedure was stopped due to a wire nicking an artery. The second was a success. The

Angina
I'm new here though I have been reading a lot of the posts. Was diagnosed with angina nearly a year ago. I've had HBP for many years, probably genetic and was already taking Doxazosin, Felodipine, Losartan, Atorvastatin and an aspirin. The Cardiologist added Bisoprolol and 10mg Isosorbide twice a day

I have been home now for 4 weeks, after treatment for infective endocarditis and heart disease too. RECENTLY DIAGNOSED WITH HEART FAILURE
My husband has recently been diagnosed with heart failure (severe left ventricular impairment) . The doctors at the hospital think this is due to atrial fibrillation which was untreated for almost 3 years. He is on Amiodarone, furosamide and amlodipine. He is also diabetic - Type 2, diagnosed

Amlodipine & Swelling
I've been taking Amlodipine for over two years now, and in the last 6 months have noticed swelling in my ankles and feet, gradually getting worse. In the hot weather it's become even worse. I didn't experience and swelling symptoms for at least the whole first year of taking Amlodipine. My GP has said

No Watchman fitted, disappointing.
Hi I can’t deny I was disappointed. I came round from the general anaesthetic to be told I was not selected for the Watchman device and that I will be in the Control group. The upside I suppose, is that I have no foreign object in my body and I will still be closely monitored alongside the two who

Hi, I am looking for advice. Just over a year ago I had a right lobar haemorrhage (bleed on the brain) leading to a stroke. Several months later I was diagnosed with hypertension and put on Amlodipine 5mg. This put my CHADS-VAS score to 4. In November I began getting chest pains and palpitations,

BP meds
I have been a CKD patient since 2001. For many years, my decline was minimal. Recently, I have seen great decline. My question is in regards to BP meds. I'm taking Lisinopril, and Amlodipine. Foes anyone know if these meds have detrimental effects on Kidney function?

Swollen ankles
My daughter commented last night on how swollen my ankles are - the ankle'bump' was hardly visible on my right foot. Bother were heavily indented from wearing socks and ankle/ lower leg was swollen. Is this something I need to get checked? Quickly, or not a rush? Currently taking Ivabradine Bisopropol

Amlodopine
I had a dreadful and painful experience when I took my Amlodipine on Wednesday morning. The pills are a sort of oval shape and I often have difficulty swallowing them straight down. This time it got stuck at the back of my mouth and dissolved while I tried to get it down. I had a painful burning at
