Taxol

Had my 3rd cycle of taxol/ carboplatin on Wednesday and still feeling sick. Taking ondansetron twice a day plus metoclopradamide if needed. Was prescribed a quarter of a tablet at night of levomepromazine but found I was having bad dreams, so I stopped taking them..

The onc says they're reluctant to put in a perm drain when you're on chemo (weekly taxol, one week off) but I'm beginning to think i need to be a little more assertive. To b e honest I'm beginning to feel so very helpless and apathetic. I know it's not a good mental attitude.

Hello all I have 7 sessions of carbo/taxol and Avastin was introduced from 5th chemo, I have had 1 infusion of Avastin now (1 year has been scheduled) and will have this every three weeks. I've had total hysterectomy in Sept. 2015.

Everything out, 34 lymph nodes removed, 6 months of taxol/carboplatin. My question is - ARE THERE ANY LONG TERM SURVIVORS OF OC OUT THERE??? if you did have a recurrence, when was it and how are you doing now?

I have neuropathy due to the drug taxol for my chemo. I hurt all over my body and my feet and hands now my legs real bad. Gabapitin isn't working. What can I do at home for help.

I have now had 5 sessions of weekly Taxol, no sickness but all the other side effects,and I am completely wiped out,The pain in my legs and lowr back pain is sometimes unbearable.Has anyone been on Taxol and had to give up.So I am seriously thinking of stopping the Chemo even though I know this was

The chemo mum had the first time of carbo/taxol worked really well whilst she was on it as her tumour was huge and it shrunk it right down and they classified her as NED after her treatment.

She started weekly taxol, which showed stable disease at the half way scan, we were elated, her oncologist too, however it didnt last, a few weeks later in August an early scan revealed thw worst possible news..... Taxol stopped and we prepared ourselves.

Then taxol every week for 12 weeks. I know my hair will fall out but what about facial hair? Eyebrows? Legs? I sure hope that it won't come in curly. I don't need a curly mustache lol. What about weight gain? I always thought cancer caused weight loss. Any info you can share is appreciated.

I'm having carbol/taxol so I know my hair will come out, I'm a bit gutted as I've taken so long to grow it past my shoulder in the last three years, but even that's not worrying me too much! It's the thought of being constipated with piles too for at least five months !

Taxol - Paclitaxel (70mg/m2) weekly for 12 week. [This comes out to be paclitaxel 100mg weekly as her BSA is 1.48] 2. Herceptin - Trastuzumab 150mg (weekly) for 52 weeks. No prior anthracyclin or any other chemotherapy was given to her.

This was done on Monday, had a big bleed early Tuesday morning, this was soon sorted by the nurse, then followed by my Taxol chemo, which was absolutely fine.This procedure will now be weekly with one week break after 3 sessions.

I am not ready to give up on chemo, Taxol is my 3 Round.and if it will shrink or stop the tumours for a while,then losing hair is nothing.Although age 80, I still have a lot more caravan img to do.Reading all your posts really cheers me up. Big hugs to you all.

Hi my mum was treated for OC stage 1c with 6 month's carbo/taxol. 8 months post chemo now and she is experiencing pain when she wees and the urgw to go a lot more. She has a pain in her side which could be bladder pain?

Anyway I had debunking surgery and then on to chemo usual combination taxol and carboplatin, and am just finishing course of avastin.

Hi everyone Had 1st of weekly Taxol yesterday. Nurse suggested Corsodyl and another. I'm afraid my mind was not on her but the treatment I was about to receive. I would appreciate any advice regarding alternatives. Thanks & thinking of all you lovely ladies. Gillian xx

Had 6 Carboplatin last year,and 2 Caelyx last couple months.Next week starting on weekly Taxol. So why am I feeling so weepy this afternoon. I should be happy. Can anyone share their experience of Taxol. My veins are already yuk ! !

Hi all, I am having 4 th line weekly Taxol and although the Dr seems to think its working as CA 125 reducing I am having a hard time with weeekly ascitic drainage. They are now going to refer me for a permanent drain. Also having a lot of trouble with lymphodema in my legs.
