I know I am going to be put on
tamoxifen
which again i dread as i don't take any medications ever. I feel overwhelmed by the changes I am going to have to make but am also having to stay strong as my partner was devastated by the news and is finding it all hard to come to terms with.

The Secret Suckiness Of Life After Breast Cancer
“So, I take this one pill called
tamoxifen
to prevent another recurrence, and a dozen more pills to deal with the side effects of the
tamoxifen
, but now the sleeping pill isn’t working as well and I’ve tried all the other options, so…” “Better tired than dead,” they’ll tell me.

Mum with low grade ovarian and limited treatment options
This stopped working late last year and Mum was prescribed
Tamoxifen
which initially showed positive signs of keeping the cancer stable. You can imagine our shock to hear that two tumours have grown (1cm in 3 months) whilst others have remained completely stable.

He is keeping me on
tamoxifen
tablets for now, but putting me back on chemo later in the year. My ca125 as gone up again to 370. I see him again in four weeks time. So was feeling a bit down yesterday. So had my youngest grandson stay last and taking him to giddy kippers this afternoon. Xx

New to Ibrance and Fulvestrant
So my oncologist switched me to
Tamoxifen
for the past 2 years. Now I have started on Ibrance and Fulvestrant. He does not want to put me on Letrozole and run the risk of UTI infections again. I'm hearing such success stories with Ibrance and Letrozole.

Finished treatment and feeling worthless
Hello Ladies A couple of months ago I finished a rollercoaster year of treatment - full mastectomy, chemo, lymph node removal, radiotherapy - and I've just started
tamoxifen
(10 years).

Response to hot flashes and chills
I'm currently taking
tamoxifen
and luprin as hormone therapy for my metastatic breast cancer. I don't really have a solution but I do experience the same symptoms. I feel as though they seem to worsen with stress.

New to site, advice please.
- I've been offered
Tamoxifen
or anastrozole as a preventative drug for breast ca. Has anyone got any experience of either or been advised to go for one drug over the other? - also wondered if anyone in my situation opted for risk reducing surgery for breast ca.

A little bit of a treatment break
If that is the case I might ask if it would be possible to give
tamoxifen
a go. However I need to wait for the fat lady to sing first.

New to group
I was in a clinical study for
tamoxifen
at that time. For two years prior to MBC diagnosis I thought I had sciatica in my lower back. Doctor finally ordered a MRI and found innumerable tumors in my lower back, spine, shoulders and skull.
