Hi I'm new here. Please can someone advise how I find a doc or similar to help me change from Levothyroxine to Dessicated Thyroid as I think the Levothyroxine is making my Tamoxifen SE worse. Some days I can hardly walk and I am not a lazy person.
Pretty desperate tbh
I live in Stockport
Thanks Everyone

Have you had thyroid levels checked since you've been prescribed Tamoxifen? It sounds as though you may be undermedicated. Do you take Levothyroxine at least 2 hours away from Tamoxifen?
NDT isn't licensed for UK use so it won't be prescribed on the NHS.
Email louise.roberts@thyroiduk.org for a list of member recommended endocrinologists and private GPs who might prescribe NDT. You should check with their offices prior to confirming an appointment that they do prescribe NDT.
Alternatively you can buy NDT online and self medicate. Members can recommend sources if you wish to source your own.
You are undermedicated to have TSH 2.4. Ask your GP to increase dose. The goal of Levothyroxine is to restore the patient to euthyroid status. For most patients that will be when TSH is 0.3 - 1.0 with FT4 in the upper range. FT4 needs to be in the upper range in order that sufficient T3 is converted.
