To Hell and back plus custard creams and tea
Hi to all my ABI friends! It’s been an interesting year for me, as a retired 71-year old I thought I had experienced most of life’s ups and downs. But No …..I started with auto-immune encephalitis seizures in March 2020. Wondering why I had not appeared one morning, my wife found me naked

Shingles shot?
So, when I had my ocruvus infusion the nurse there told me to get the shingles vaccine. This was in late December.. covid-19 vaccine is rolling out... Nurse tells me to get it anyway... Umm ok.. Saw PCP... He says... 3 months between the 2 flippen vaccines 😒😂 I don't even know HOW to GET THE VACCINE

Covid vaccine reaction
My wife had the vaccine yesterday. We were surprised she got called as she doesn't meet the criteria for severe asthma or been diagnosed with severe asthma so surprised she got called in group 4. Both her and I have been to hospital and been on 1 course of steroids and diagnosed with two weeks of her

Covid vaccine
Hi, had my vaccine ( AstraZeneca) on Monday. Thankfully no immediate side effects. Arm slightly swollen and painful two days later and a headache which may not be connected. Now 4days later arm still tender to touch but no worse than flu jab. Was very anxious before and took Cetirizine as recommended

Covid Vaccination
I just thought I would post to reassure anyone worried. I had the Pfizer jab yesterday and it was fine. I have a history of very numerous drug allergies and some very severe adverse reactions but we have no idea what specific ingredient causes them. I don't have the flu jab because it brings me out

Covid vaccine priority for 'severe' asthma.
People previously admitted to hospital or needing "continuous or repeated" steroid use because of asthma are to be prioritised for the Covid vaccine. The most severe cases will fall into priority-group four, the "clinically extremely vulnerable", who should have received a letter advising they shield

What priority group for vaccination am I in if I have asthma?
We know there has been confusion about when people with asthma will get the COVID-19 vaccine and what priority group they will fall into. The information we previously shared about priority group six has changed. At the time it was based on communication with the Department of Health and Social Care

Pfizer Vaccine - 48 hrs later...
Hi All, Seen a few posts on here asking questions about the vaccines, had mine Saturday and was advised to watch for possible side effects (if any) for 48 hour period, I can now report nothing, no different to my annual flu jab. Back in 11 weeks for 2nd jab, otherwise all good, even ran in the snow

Have I been given the wrong information?
I am 68, take a preventer (2 puffs twice a day) and reliever daily for my asthma (since 2000), I'm also diabetic type 2, and obviously entitled to my free flu jab every year, and yet I haven't had a letter from the NHS to say I'm clinically vulnerable and should shield, and not had a letter to say

Out of Remission. Starting over...
Hi everyone, Unfortunately after three months of remission I had a very bad flareup. The week before my husband and I were leaving for Maine (Sept) I decided to get a flu shot. Four days later while in Maine I started not to feel well. The usual PMR symptoms. I had no medication with me. My doctor

Vaccine
Feeling apprehensive now about having the jab when I get the notice. I had covid back in march/,April. Reading some of your reactions. I have the flu jab each year with no symptoms apart from sore arms. Fingers cross the vaccine will be the same. I was told none have a live thing in? I'm also not allowed

Covid Vaccine for a Transplantee
Sharing my Covid jab experience. Pfizer, Watford in the UK. On Thursday I got a text and had my jab booked for 1750 last night at the local GP surgery. It is not like a flu jab march in and out. When I turned up I was checked in and given a three page leaflet explaining what the vaccine was, warnings

Bad reaction to vaccine
Hi all, Yesterday morning I had the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine and by the evening I had the usual flu jab side effects - headache, stiff neck, a bit achey. By bedtime I was getting worse and then I woke up to full blown flu symptoms in the night. Chills, sensitivity to touch, awful joint

Are who are not sereve asthmatics at risk of cornavirus
While we all know that asthmatics who have sereve asthma are clinically extremely vulnerable to cornavirus. However those of us who have well controlled asthma (take preventive inhaler and have the flu jab) are listed as clinically vulnerable. For myself my asthma has been very well controlled for

Sedation for Covid vaccine
My son is autistic and although invited to have flu jab every year, he has never ever had it due to his fear of needles. To give some back ground to his fear, a dental procedure where a needle was needed resulted in months of trying, passing him from one dentist to another, to a specialist surgery, then
